Property code: 42856

Nestled into the hillside with magnificent views of the Black Mountains, this accommodation is spread across two properties, the main farmhouse and a self-contained barn, both restored with every luxury in mind.

First you'll be captivated by the views, miles of rolling countryside stretches out ahead of you. Wild horses and mountain sheep lazily cross your path as you drive into the National Park from Hay on Wye.

Then you'll fall in love with the house... elegantly nestled into the hillside with magnificent views of the Black Mountains this is a spectacular location for a luxury holiday cottage. With stunning views from your breakfast table and the hot tub, lazy lunches on the terrace surveying the area are a must!

The farm house is wonderfully remote and rural, yet just ten minutes to the lovely town of Hay on Wye, famous for it's international festival of literature and numerous bookshops and independent shops, this is the ultimate antidote to busy modern life.

This complex comes with two properties, both restored with every luxury in mind. There is the main farmhouse, with three lovely double bedrooms sleeping six and a self contained barn, with a further two double bedrooms, sleeping four just across the courtyard.

In the main house there is a fabulous wooden kitchen with granite worktops, a large breakfast area with an electric oven and hob built in so you can flip pancakes straight on to the plate!

For more formal meals step through into the open plan dining and living room with a lovely oak table, open fire and cosy leather armchairs making it perfect for relaxing. You will also find a large flatscreen television and surround sound cinema system built in too.

Across the courtyard the barn is flooded with light from the enormous oak windows which give you the most magnificent views of the Black Mountains. You'll find a luxury open plan oak kitchen, dining room, wood burner and more cosy leather sofas.

There are luxurious roll top baths and walk in showers in both the barn and main house, as well as large double beds in each of the five bedrooms.

Not forgetting to mention - the best positioned private hot tub we've seen to date!

We stayed in this property as a group of 8 and it was glorious. The views are outstanding, the property is stunning and the hot tub is of course great fun. Excellent walks nearby and the beautiful town of Hay on Wye a 20 minute drive away/1.5 hour walk. We had an amazing time staying here!

Superb location with amazing views. A characterful, yet comfortable, house with an interesting history. With the added convenience of the beautiful barn conversion, this property is eminently suitable for a large extended family. Outside, a gas barbecue, a hot tub and a chiminea allow you to enjoy the scenery well into the evening. Excellent walks Read moreabound, and Hay itself is charming. One warning: lots of different levels with steps, so the barn may be more suitable for the less mobile. Hide

This is a very comfortable, well thought out and unique holiday house in a stunning, remote location. It is currently a real holiday haven amidst all the changing covid rules as you really can apply the rule of 6 or 2 households indoors safely.
