  • An impressive rural retreat set amongst miles of rolling countryside
  • Magnificent views of the Black Mountains
  • Enjoy spectacular views from the hot tub for ultimate luxury and relaxation
Property code: 42856

First you'll be captivated by the views, miles of rolling countryside stretches out ahead of you. Wild horses and mountain sheep lazily cross your path as you drive into the National Park from Hay on Wye.

Then you'll fall in love with the house... elegantly nestled into the hillside with magnificent views of the Black Mountains this is a spectacular location for a luxury holiday cottage. With stunning views from your breakfast table and amazing views from the hot tub, lazy lunches on the terrace surveying the area are a must!

The farm house is wonderfully remote and rural, yet just ten minutes to the lovely town of Hay on Wye, famous for it's international festival of literature and numerous bookshops and independent shops, and a good selection of restaurants, cafes and bars, this is the ultimate antidote to busy modern life.

This complex comes with two properties, both restored with every luxury in mind. There is the main farmhouse, with 2 lovely king-size and 1 double bedroom sleeping six and a self contained barn, with a further two king-size bedrooms, sleeping four just across the courtyard.

In the main house there is a fabulous wooden kitchen with granite worktops, a large breakfast area with an electric oven and induction hob built in so you can flip pancakes straight on to the plate!

For more formal meals step through into the open plan dining and living room with a lovely oak table, open fire and cosy leather armchairs making it perfect for relaxing. You will also find a large flatscreen television and surround sound cinema system built in too.

Across the courtyard the barn is flooded with light from the enormous oak windows which give you the most magnificent views of the Black Mountains. You'll find a luxury open plan oak kitchen, dining room, wood burner and more cosy leather sofas.

There are luxurious roll top baths and walk in showers in both the barn and main house.

Not forgetting to mention - the best positioned private hot tub we've seen to date!

We had 8 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs staying in both of the cottages. Both were fully equipped, the owners also had thought of all the little things especially with recycling. Both cottages were v clean and plenty of wood for the fires for the duration of our stay. The view from the hot tub was spectacular. This is just the place to forget the stRead moreresses and strains and just relax. Would Definitely recommend it to all our friends. Hide

These beautifully converted buildings are comfortable and warm, with a lovely view and super hot-tub, but our experience would have been better if more thought had been put into the day to day practicalities of living in a remote environment.

We stayed in this property as a group of 8 and it was glorious. The views are outstanding, the property is stunning and the hot tub is of course great fun. Excellent walks nearby and the beautiful town of Hay on Wye a 20 minute drive away/1.5 hour walk. We had an amazing time staying here!
