The cottage is within easy reach of Snowdon and the Snowdonia mountain ranges and the wonderful beaches of North Wales and Anglesey. For those who like walking, hiking or mountain biking, there are miles and miles of footpaths, open country and cycle tracks in the area. For the more adventurous there is plentiful climbing, white water rafting, high ropes and canoeing close by. There is good salmon fishing on the River Conwy and the River Lledr, as well as some fine golf courses, amongst a host of other things to do and see.

Close to many of the region’s top visitor attractions and historical places of interest, this cottage is a good choice. You’re in luck if you like castles; Conwy, Harlech, Gwydir in Llanrwst, Plas Mawr, Penryn, Dolwydden are within easy driving distance. The true spectacle is Mount Snowdon, Wales’ highest peak and a comparatively easy summit to reach. There’s even a railway up part of it. If you like a traditional day out at the seaside, there is the elegant, old-fashioned Llandudno with the Great Orme 40 minutes away, or lovely sandy 'bucket & spade' beaches along the Lleyn Peninsula: Black Rock Sands, Criccieth, Portmerion Italianate Village ad beach, all within an hour’s drive.

On stepping through the front door, you will find the kitchen area. There is a small round breakfast table with chairs and a big warming wood burner. You can cook up a storm with the four-burner gas hob with electric oven and grill, while there is also a bread maker and Nespresso coffee machine plus cafetières. In addition, you also have a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility area opposite the staircase to the second double bedroom. The living room is large and full of character, with cosy sofas clustered around another wood burner at one end and an additional dining table and chairs at the other. There is an iPod docking station in in this room and a TV/DVD. You will find a good selection of novels, reference books, maps and games. There are two bedrooms, both with double beds. Fluffy white towels and bathrobes are also provided. The first bedroom is a cosy mezzanine area, which overlooks the kitchen and has a privacy curtain; this is approached by climbing a ladder from the kitchen, when young children are visiting, guards are provided to prevent them climbing the ladders. Bedroom two is at the other end of the house and sits on a private mezzanine loft, a cosy room with exposed beams and views down the valley. Below this room around the corner from the utility space is a single bed with a pull-out guest bed. The bathroom sits in the centre of the house and has a generous-sized bath, washbasin and WC.

This property has an enclosed garden with table and chairs, parasol and a BBQ. The cottage is surrounded by open fields in all directions which you are welcome to wander around and explore, but please be mindful that they are owned by the local farmers. Please note that the property is located at the top of a steep and rugged track therefore a 4x4 with good ground clearance is essential.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
