A picturesque single-level lodge, there are plenty of gentle strolls from the doorstep, with miles of beautiful walks and bike trails throughout the surrounding woodlands and valleys.
Approached via a blossom-lined driveway, this oak-framed lodge features a spacious, refreshing and relaxing open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with exposed beams, underfloor heating and charming views. The lounge has a warming wood burner, comfortable seating, a TV and a selection of books, providing the perfect space to snuggle up at the end of a great day. There’s also a cute dining area, perfect for sharing a romantic meal which you can rustle up in the stylish kitchen. The double bedroom is full of character and there’s also an invigorating shower room. Outside, the garden has an extensive lawn dotted with chestnut and oak trees, and a private patio with outdoor furniture and a BBQ.
The lodge is perfect for walks along the River Usk and throughout the Usk Valley. The thriving market town of Abergavenny (8.5 miles) has plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops and pubs. Local attractions include Usk Castle, Raglan Castle, Goytre Wharf (all within 5.5 miles) and the Big Pit National Coal Museum (13.5 miles). With the Brecon Beacons National Park to the east and the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the west (both within 9 miles), walkers, cyclists and hikers will have lots of superb countryside to discover.
