A fabulous find, perfect for families, couples & pooches! Cosy, detached and in a prime location for exploring the very best of the Brecon Beacons National well as having the added luxury of a private big bubbly and floodlit hot tub on the terrace.

Unseen from the lane, you head down a long drive on arrival to discover the cottage surrounded by fields and rolling Welsh hills. The garden is fully enclosed, with a gate, making it perfect for dogs and small children. Step inside and you'll discover a well-equipped kitchen, with range cooker and American fridge freezer (most supermarkets will deliver to the cottage, so there's plenty of cool fridge space to stash it away). Nipping through to the living space, there's a dining table for four and a large, comfy family sofa, designed for lazing in-front of the wood burning stove.

There are two bedrooms, a downstairs king-size room, with pretty bedlinen, fluffy towels and robes for heading in and out to the hot tub, then upstairs you'll find a contemporary twin room, designed with children in mind and filled with toys and books to keep them amused. The owner will gladly adapt the toys for smaller children, if you simply pop the ages in the comments box when you book. There's also a shower room, with toileteries and towels included.

The village pub is less than a mile down the lane, the Brecon Beacons National Park is all around and there are helpful guidebooks within the cottage to help you plan your next adventure.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

WALK & CYCLE: Whether its walking to the pub, or trying out the owners long distance runs and walking routes from the door, there is something for every level of fitness and age. The Brecon & Monmouth Canal is great for families and sturdy pushchairs, or hours of arduous (yet rewarding!) uphill yomping with the Brecon Beacon mountain range.

TOWNS & VILLAGES: Great location for heading off to Hay on Wye, browsing in Brecon or stocking up in Crickhowell. The local village of Tretower is home to a Castle, and a trip over the hill will also take you to the lovely Talgarth Mill - brilliant for coffee and cake, with a child-friendly waterfall walk nearby.

WINE & DINE: Whether it's a country pub, or the finest of Michelin starred fayre, there is something for all tastes throughout the area. The Nantyffin Cider Mill is the nearest posh pub & The Felin Fach Griffin is a favourite of the team, both welcome children too.

LOCAL FAYRE: The Welsh Venison Centre is just five minutes in the car, travel a little further on for a good deli in Brecon, as well as the delicious local Llanfaes Dairy for ice cream puds.  There are great ingredients in abundance...making cooking on holiday more of a pleasure than ever! There's a fabulous farmers market in Hay every Thursday morning too, which is worth popping in for.

ON THE RIVER: The Rivers Usk & Wye are both nearby for fishing.  Day permits for the Usk are available in Crickhowell and canoes for the River Wye can be rented in Glasbury, conveniently located by a delicious cafe.

SLEEPS 2 - 4 : Two bedrooms, a king-size master bedroom on the ground floor and an upstairs twin bedroom. Bedding, towels and bath robes provided in the master bedroom.

RELAXING : Great living space, with large sofa, tv, dvd, wood burning stove with basket of logs/kindling on arrival.

COOKING & DINING : Large double oven range cooker, American fridge freezer, cafetiere, breakfast bar, plus dining table and chairs.

USEFUL THINGS: Welcome gift on arrival. Basics included, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, sugar, washing up liquid. Childrens books and toys in twin bedroom. Local guide books and information leaflets.

OUTSIDE SPACE: Secure garden with barbeque, table and benches, parasol, private large spa style hot tub.

PETS: Well behaved dog/s can come to stay, (2 small, 2 medium (Springer Spaniel or smaller) or 1 large (Labrador or bigger), no paws in the bedrooms please.

SETTING: The cottage is detached with its own private garden, parking and entrance, it sits within the grounds of the owners property, although your privacy is respected at all times.

MIND YOUR HEAD: The upstairs twin bedroom is within the eaves of the cottage, the beds are full sized single beds, however the head height is low and more suited to children.

Amazing location, and extremely romantic setting for our mini-moon. Entirely private and uninterrupted despite being on owners property. The hot tub is a brilliant touch and wonderful to sit out there on even slightly chillier evenings. Lovely kitchen set up for big meals and home cooking, but also located near a locely area of Crickhowell with somRead moree great pubs and restaurants, and only 20 mins in the car to nearly all recommended dog friendly big walks in the Brecons. Loved every minute! Hide

We had the best NY break; thanks so much to the owners for facilitating. We anticipated the cottage to be lovely but, put simply, it surpassed all expectations and made for the perfect NY holiday for the 4 (and dog!) of us. Board games, log burner, country hikes (with pubs) and relaxing home cooking. The cottage is beautifully equipped for this. WeRead more look forward to passing on to our friends & coming back & staying nearer to Easter. The cottage is a beautiful place and highly recommend. Hide

A beautiful cottage in the middle of nowhere but close to everything! Stunning views, clean and cosy, on the owners land, but at no point did we feel our privacy was invaded. Would definitely return!

Lovely welcome from Bev with a few essentials to stock the fridge. Cottage was beautiful and the hot tub a treat to enjoy come rain or shine. Secluded but an easy walk to the local pub for a lovely meal, and close to other sights in Brecons.

Beautiful cottage with gorgeous views. Clean, tidy and comfortable - and all within good access to the Brecon Beacons.

Tony, 25th June 2018

Beautiful location, away from the hustle and bustle, great part of the beacons, lots of good walks and near Crickhowell town which we loved. Cottage was nice and excellent for our doggie as the garden was all enclosed in.
