This architectural triumph is ideally situated in Llwyngwril, Snowdonia National Park, to explore the coast and countryside of North and West Wales providing opportunities for walking, cycling, golfing, swimming, water sports, sailing and fishing. Why not take a journey on the steam railway to Dolgogh waterfalls and Tal-y-Llyn Lake or head to the sandy beach in Fairbourne or Aberdovey. There are a range of attractions nearby including Ynys Hir nature reserve, the Dyfi Opsrey project, the Centre of Alternative Technology with cliff railway, King Arthurs Labyrinth, the slate mines, the Museum of Modern Art Wales, the Owain Glyndwr Centre and Harlech Castle to name but a few. There is always something to do here. This beautiful barn conversion had been creatively designed maximising the wonderful coastal views and offering all your creature comforts in this luxury accommodation.

As you enter down the steps and into the door you are treated to the expanse of the lounge/kitchen/diner, contemporary oak staircase, glass panels, feature stone walls, exposed beams, tiled floors and underfloor heating, all of which are designed to enhance your stay. If you decide to eat in, the kitchen area has granite work surfaces, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and all the equipment you need to rustle up a meal. The utility room has a fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and plenty of storage space with a separate WC next door. The dining table takes centre stage with room for everyone to gather round, if you have booked both barns there is ample space for ten people to eat together. Open the French doors and let the outside in, listening out for the sound of the nearby stream and local birds. After dinner take time to relax on the sofa in the snug, taking in the lovely sea views, maybe read a good book or just catch up with your friends and family. In the lounge area, settle into the sofas to watch a film on the TV/DVD, maybe light the wood burner for cosy nights in. On this floor you will also find the spacious king-size bedroom with wonderful views towards the sea and stylish en-suite shower room and WC. Upstairs on the first floor you have the choice of a further two bedrooms, one super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request) with wonderful sea views and a daybed, or the spacious king-size bedroom with door to the rear patio area. Outside, enjoy the wildlife and wonderful sea views from sunrise to sunset from the paved terrace with table and chairs. The pros: The property is beautifully finished and the views are incredible, we had some amazing sunsets from the patio and bottom lounge. It also has one of the best equipped kitchens I've ever encountered in a holiday let. The con: Just one really, the ground floor bedroom is very noisy if/when the people in the room above it need to use the toilRead moreet or move about at all in the night. It's a gorgeous old property but the floorboards are so noisy that it made sleeping in there impossible for us. Hide

We really enjoyed our week at Nant Barns Elk. Very well equipped, and extremely comfortable. Amazing views out over the sea from the property, although it was a shame that access to the closest beach is not possible because of a lack of access via the holiday park. Great access to the Wales coastal path however, and miles of walking nearby. Highly Read morerecommended. Hide

Best presented cottage I have stayed in with a group- beautifully finished, super showers, comfortable beds, brilliant kitchen space, underfloor heating & plenty of blankets, views! Loved the log burner- when arrived there weren't any logs at all so we did need to go & purchase some, 5 per bag. Downstairs bedroom does not have a door between the roRead moreom & ensuite which may not suit everyone. We would love to return! This place does feel secluded and you have to drive far to most places to eat etc. Hide
