Spend a much-deserved break in this idyllic retreat where the landscape enveloping the property is just as sublime as the scenery that greets you behind the front door.

Enter the property and find yourself in the open-plan living space which boasts a wonderfully light and airy feel with a double-height ceiling. Two leather sofas greet you at a cosy right-angle and are simply wonderful to sit back and sink into after a day out exploring the local area. They surround a large, reclaimed wood coffee table that is just perfect for playing board games together on. If you prefer, there is also a Smart TV to watch a film together.

The kitchen space echoes the cool and contemporary feel of the rest of the open-plan room and comprises of an electric oven and induction hob, a microwave, a fridge, a dishwasher and a washing machine. You could not want for more when it comes to the utilities needed for a great stay. The centrepiece of this area is certainly the sleek, contemporary dining table with simple and matching chairs. It creates the perfect setting for any meal of the day and there is plenty of light flooding in to fill the space as bi-fold doors that lead outside, are just alongside it.

This part of the conversion boasts three bedrooms. The master suite has a king-size bed ready for you to float away into dreamland after a day of discovery, plus an en-suite shower room with WC. The second bedroom features super-king-size that can also be made into a twin on request and its own en-suite bathroom, with a hand-held shower and WC. There is a further king-size room also with an en-suite shower room and toilet. There’ll be no fights over who gets to use the facilities first in the morning as the number of bathrooms equals the number of bedrooms!

The crowning glory of this stunning, spacious property is the outside area, with its surroundings epitomising beauty. The large enclosed garden is perfect for those taking a dog on their travels, providing them with ample space to roam around without fear of escape, and the patio furniture provides seating for you and your guests to sit out and make the most of the landscape.

Great space, everything you could want plus singing frogs on your doorstep. Had a lovely few days with family, road to the property a winding track which takes a couple days to get used to and where the pot holes are, but well worth the trip. Very comfortable modern cottage with enclosed garden. Friendly and helpful owner. Perfect for a get-together of 3 couples and a dog. Lots of great walks in the area, good shopping facilities in Abergavenny and good food at the Crown Inn a short drive away. The road leading to the cottage is quite narrow and pot-holed, so driving needs some care.

Absolutely perfect , loved everything about this property and location. Owners had thought of everything we could possibly need. Beds made up for our arrival with a welcoming bottle wine, organic cake and wild flower seeds - so very thoughtful. Plenty of towels ( even for our dogs ) supplied. Perfect enclosed area for dogs . Enjoyed watching the baRead morets flying around outside in the evenings and were visited by some baby frogs from nearby pond. Would highly recommend this lovely place ! Hide

What a fabulous location! Beautifully tranquil yet super convenient. Abergavenny was only 10 mins drive and you have everything you need there - plus the area is foodie heaven with 3 key foodie locations no more than 15 mins from the Henhouse. Facilities were excellent - good water pressure, bountiful hot water, good cooking equipment, comfortably Read morefurnished. Shane was friendly and very helpful - but also gave us our privacy. The cottage interior is very modern and very well equipped. We loved the beautiful position on the slopes of Skirrid, the fantastic views, the star-gazing at night and the walks from the door. The owner was very helpful with information about the area. We liked the fact that e-bikes were available to hire from the owner. This is a really lovely property, set in a beautiful location, so peaceful and relaxing. The house has everything you need, its very clean and spacious and everything is of high quality. Lovely modern open plan living space. Cleaned to a very high standard. Absolutely spotless! Garden area completely enclosed for our dog so didnt have to worry, even when the sheep popped down to say hello. Great location, very rural but short drive back to town.
