Stumble in from the glorious surrounding countryside, throw off muddy boots and settle down in style at this wonderful converted stable. Dotted with creature comforts including a roaring wood burner, make yourself right at home and lap up the inviting ambience. Perfect for those seeking a romantic rural retreat, this humble abode will whisk you off your feet.

Step inside where you are greeted by the open-plan heart of the home. Country colours and sleek interiors create a stylish space in which to cook, eat, unwind and keep an eye on your canine friend. Get the wood burner fired up to heat the house and put your feet up as you wait for the kettle to boil. Enjoy a cup of tea and a snack at the table before drawing up tonight’s menu and creating fabulous flavours in the contemporary tiled kitchen area, all the while admiring views of the rolling landscape and planning your next adventure. Climb stairs to reach the king-size suite, beautifully decorated with floral pastel tones to help you snooze in peace. Once dreams have finished, take care with the sloping ceiling, rise and shine and head out onto the balcony for a breath of fresh air before freshening up underneath the rainfall shower.

Pop on a lead, pair of walking boots and a jacket and travel 17 miles to reach the outskirts of the Brecon Beacons National Park and the town of Abergavenny. The sporty guests amongst you can take to the green and play a round of golf whilst others browse the shops and indulge in a bite to eat. A brilliant walk entitled ‘The Three Castles’ begins at Abergavenny and takes you on an 18.6-mile walk rich in heritage. Just 6.5 miles from your door, the fabulous Tintern Abbey awaits discovery.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This is a beautiful, idyllic place to get away from life for a few days. Gorgeously presented cottage, clean and kitted with everything you could need. In a beautiful location near the Wye Valley, the views are beautiful. We had the best staycation and it was so good to get away from busy city life and the dreaded Covid for a long weekend.

Cosy and comfortable accommodation in the most impressive location. The owners were friendly and accommodating, sharing excellent advice about suitable works and letting us see the horses. 100% would stay again.

The cottage was a lovely little spot for me, my partner, and the dog. It's quite out in the sticks so unless you want to jump straight in the car to get supplies then I'd say take some basic bits with you. The Stables is in a lovely quiet location, and within a short drive of the Wye valley. The accommodation was comfortable, but quite compact. It was nice to sit on the patio in the mornings over coffee watching the birdlife (and squirrels!).
