One of two stunning lodges, set in a pretty orchard in the village of Talgarth, in the Brecon Beacons National Park with delightful views. The property is a short walk to the village pub, shops and even a restored watermill. Just a short drive away is a variety of local beauty spots such as Pwll-y-Wrach Nature Reserve and Llangorse Lake, offering beautiful walks for all ages. The property is also just a short drive to the ever-popular town of books, Hay-on-Wye. There is lots to see and do during your days of exploration, such as climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing and horse riding, before some star gazing in the evening. And, for the more laid-back guests there are lovely market towns including Brecon and Crickhowell within easy reach.

Following a pathway down through the orchard to the lodge there is an entrance hall. Passing the utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer there is a good-sized super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request) with lovely views. Down a couple of steps from the hallway, you will find the warm and inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area has a comfortable sofa and chairs, Smart TV and floor to ceiling windows, to take in the beautiful surroundings. The contemporary kitchen has an electric oven and an induction hob, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. From the kitchen, there is an internal hallway to the stylish shower room with shower and WC. Further along the hallway is the king-size bedroom. This is a quality residence for the more discerning guest, with underfloor heating throughout, making this perfect for couples and families any time of the year.

Outside there is a private decked area overlooking the orchard, stream and woodland beyond. There is garden furniture and a BBQ for some al fresco dining, all leading to your own wood fired hot tub. A simply stunning retreat with off-road parking for one car.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Excellent cottage finished to a really high standard with a fantastic shower and comfortable beds. The location is ideal, quiet by the lodge but close to the village centre. Talgarth is a great village for a stay, it has everything you need without being busy. Please note no enclosed garden.

A lovely location, just a few minutes walk from Talgarth, but it feels very private. We really enjoyed watching all the red kites. Small but comfortable

A lovely place to stay, secluded from the world in a lovely location, with easy access to walks around the Brecon beacons. The hot tub was an added bonus and was lovely after a morning of walking.

This was a beautiful house to stay in - the location was perfect as it's a short 5 minute walk into the town where there's a food shop and a really good pub. The beds were so comfortable we didn't want to leave! The hot tub was easy to use and was lovely to lay in for hours after a long hike. A good base for exploring the Brecon Beacons. Lodge was pretty well equipped, but BBQ utensils for use with the BBQ and a colander/strainer would have been useful during our stay. Wood heated tub was a lovely addition. Set on quite a steep rough grass bank so maybe not so suitable for young children, elderly or anybody with mobility issues. PeacefuRead morel settings, but found we were slightly disappointed with the view or lack of one. Lovely friendly pub within a short walk serving great food. Hide

Fabulous property. Lovely village location. Close to shops and dog friendly pub that serves very good food. The Orchard is a sloping site with some steep steps down. There is a fenced off stream at the bottom of The Orchard which adds to the tranquil setting.
