Head to this stylish holiday home situated within an idyllic lodge in the village of Talgarth, on the fringes of the beautiful Brecon Beacons. Up to four guests, and two happy hounds are welcome to stay at the unusual two-bedroom lodge which is one of two nestled within the grounds. Enjoy the beauty and peace of the location when you dine out in the sunshine and soak in the hot tub. Spend your days exploring your undulating surroundings and visit Hay-on-Wye, 8 miles away.

Feel immediately at home in this stylish, single-storey abode, which has underfloor heating. Pass the utility room and take a few steps down into the lounge/kitchen/diner. Relax in here in front of the smart TV, chat about your day and soak up the scenery through the huge windows. Whip up tasty meals in the kitchen to serve up to your party at the table or out in the garden. Choose between a super-king-size room, with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as twins in advance, and a king-size room, both sharing the family shower room. Sit out on the deck in the spring and summer warmth. Light the BBQ and take a chilled bottle of wine over to the hot tub. Find parking for one car at the lodge.

Plan walks and cycle rides out into the Brecon Beacons. Drive 4.5 miles to Llangorse Lake, where you can canoe, kayak and go horse riding. Wander into Talgarth to go shopping and to see the watermill. Stroll less than 1 mile to spend time at the Pwll-y-Wrach Nature Reserve. Here you will find some 17.5 hectares of leafy woodland overlooking the River Enig and with waterfalls. Venture 8 miles into Hay-on-Wye to browse in the famous book shops, source local produce and dine out in cafes and restaurants.

Amazing cottage! Very clean, has everything we needed and the location was perfect for all our dog walks. The little town it is in has everything you need. We are already thinking about going back in the summer. We managed to get the hot tub going despite the cold temps and was well worth it. Thank you!

Fabulous modern lodge, very well equipped kitchen and in easy reach of the shops and pubs in the village. The floor to ceiling glass windows were wonderful. It really is in an orchard - you are surrounded by apples and pears! We enjoyed the walks up into the Black Mountains and the nearby Nature Reserve.

Very good cottage, good beds, private even though there is another lodge on the same site. The hot hub warmed up very quickly in a hot June week. Local people are very friendly with good stiff walks from the door. Steps down to lodge are tricky if you are not good on your pins. The hob needed to be turned on and off regularly to make work.
