Arrive at this working farm and settle in after leaving muddy boots in the drying room. The sociable living space is the perfect heart of the home for catching up on the day’s events and filling the air with conversation; sit beneath exposed beams and bask in the tranquil ambience created by natural, earthy tones and handfuls of natural light. From the large sofa, keep your chef company as they chop, slice and dice in the light, elegant kitchen which has all you need for rustling together three-course feasts. For the ultimate summer banquet, throw a log on the fire pit, sizzle up the BBQ and tuck into a smoky feast washed down with al fresco aperitifs on the patio. End your night with a game of table football or a bubble in the hot tub before getting cosy under the covers in one of six pretty bedrooms, five of which are on the first floor.

Dotted with lakes, the Brecon Beacons National Park has an abundance of places to enjoy a waterside wander or an invigorating wild swim. Head out for a walk filled with breathtaking views and dramatic scenery at Llyn y Fan Fach (18 miles) before dipping in the lake or tucking into a delicious picnic. The market town of Brecon (8.5 miles) is well worth a trip and has lots of eateries for foodies to enjoy.

What a wonderful place for a long awaited family holiday. The size was perfect for us and the facilities just right. We had such a precious time together. The building was warm, family perfect even for 8 children age 1-8. The hot tub was massive hit and the views and walks locally stunning. We are looking forward to returning :)

We loved our stay here, the barn had everything you could want and it exceeded our expectations. All of the bedrooms were decorated nicely and the bathrooms looked pretty new. It also had lovely views. The downstairs space is perfect for large groups as well as the outdoor seating areas.

Loved every second of being here every room was loverly, massive table really was the focal piece for our stay where we had massive meals together, big enough for our cocktail making class we had here and the massive sofas where we watched love island all together each morning all hRead moreungover. I stayed here for four days with a large group and we were all blown away by the size, facilities, comfort and everything Pen-Y-Glyn Barn has to offer. The owners were lovely and happy to help with anything. Its an all round great place to holiday in an absolutely beautiful part of the country. Id happily pay to stay here again!

Helen and family were fabulous hosts, full of information on local area, easily contactable. There was a lovely gift of a basket with cake tea coffee etc. All facilities were top class, the seating area in lounge very comfortable. All family members commented how comfortable the beds were.
