In the evenings, snuggle up on the sofa in the peaceful lounge, which is decorated in neutral tones and has a cosy wood burner. The fabulous conservatory is a relaxing spot to enjoy breakfast whilst admiring the far-reaching views. When it’s time to say ‘nos da’, climb the stairs to one of the two stylish bedrooms, both of which look out over the cottage’s mature garden. Step back in time with a ride on the Brecon Mountain Railway. The heritage steam train chugs deep into the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, along the full length of the Taf Fechan Reservoir. The views are breathtaking – don’t forget your camera! You’ll find plenty to do at Llandegfedd Lake. The lake is a hub for water sports, and you can take part in organised open-water swimming. After an action-packed morning on the water, dine in style at the fantastic waterside restaurant, enjoying panoramic views of the Usk Valley.
