Set high above Eglwysbach village, with well-known pub, and a short drive to Conwy, a World Heritage Site with castle, town walls, independent shops, eateries and fishing harbour. Put on your walking boots or get ready on your bicycle to discover gentle strolls to challenging climbs with breath-taking views and an abundance of sites to see along the way. Visit the RSPB Reserve for wildlife watching, go river fishing or have an adventure at Zip World and Surf Snowdonia. Taste the delights in a plethora of pubs, restaurants, cafes and the Welsh Food Centre. Visit the collection of shops and attractions in and around the area from National Trust sites such as Bodnant Gardens to Britain's Smallest House.

This property is one of two, set in the owners’ grounds where privacy is assured. This beautiful barn conversion oozes charm throughout with its wooden floors, travertine floor tiles, high ceilings, exposed beams and all the creature comforts for a most enjoyable stay. The door opens into the lounge/kitchen/diner with luxury touches including underfloor heating, iPod dock and fabulous views. If you decide to eat in, the kitchen area has granite work surfaces, electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine with all the equipment you need to rustle up a meal. The dining table is perfectly positioned by the kitchen to gather round, plan your activities and enjoy this social space. After dinner take time to relax on the sofas, read a good book, watch a film on the TV, and maybe light the wood burner or open the patio doors and let the outside in, whilst embracing the fabulous views. There is also a lovely twin bedroom on the ground floor with TV and en-suite shower room and WC. Head upstairs to the first floor, admiring the feature lighting as you choose from the further two bedrooms, a double with additional single bed and en-suite shower room and WC or the spacious super-king-size bedroom. Completing the accommodation on the first floor there is a family bathroom, perfect to take a leisurely bath, with freestanding bath and WC. The property also benefits from a heat recovery system.

Outside, enjoy the wildlife and wonderful views from sunrise to sunset from the decked terrace with hot tub, table and chairs. There are also patio seating areas with spectacular mountain views and several walks to enjoy in the grounds or join the footpaths to explore further afield. There is also bike and canoe storage available and private parking for five cars. There is additional accommodation for 4 available in the neighbouring property, 'Buzzards View' should this be needed.

Lovely luxury cottage with fantastic views. A little on the remote side which may not suit all, but does make for a very private, quiet and undisturbed holiday. Very accommodating owners.

This cottage felt like home and the views were amazing. Everything was cosy the beds were super comfy. We spend christmas time at the cottages and Lucy decorated the house beautifully with christmas decorations. There are loads to do in the nearby towns. I highly recommend this cottages! Thanks Lucy for a wonderful stay.

Red Kites retreat was an amazing place to stay. It is clean, very comfortable and is really a home from home. Such a beautiful cottage - the decor was lovely and the beds were the best I've ever slept in when in a holiday property! The views are absolutely stunning - which made the narrow, steep drive to the property completely worthwhile. So peaceful - only the sounds of the surrounding wildlife. We enjoyed our week, used the hot tub every day. Marvellous views. The downstairs bedroom has the 2 single beds which wasn't clear to me before I booked. Went out every day and enjoyed exploring North Wales. Lots to see and explore.

This is a beautiful property in a very peaceful location. The lane leading to the cottage is very narrow with few passing spaces causing some anxiety driving ,however, the spectacular views from the property on arrival more than compensate for this. First off, the location is simply stunning - the mountain views from the hot tub and house are spectacular. The cottage is beautiful, clean and has everything you need for a thoroughly relaxing week away. The road up to the cottage is a bit of an adventure but the rewards are totally worth it. We will be back!

Cottage was beautiful, location was breathtaking with views of the Snowdonia mountain range. Very quiet location ideal for a peaceful retreat. Great location for getting to lots of walking areas. Hot tub is an excellent addition and very inviting after a busy day. Very relaxing weekend had by all.

Stunning cottage with absolutely every facility you could want. Spotlessly clean and immaculate. Its actually a 2 mile drive from closest pub which we walked after Sunday lunch! Quite a challenge after 3 courses as lane very steep up to cottage. Amazing views, went in hot tub every day. Enjoyed the air display from the fighter planes across the valRead moreley. What a wonderful house in an idyllic setting! The house is spotlessly clean and fully equipped. The views are stunning overlooking the Welsh countryside and mountains. We had a thoroughly relaxing break and Lucy the host couldnt do enough for us. We will be back!

Spectacular views and a very comfortable and warm house. All the equipment you need was provided including a bbq outside. Very quiet in a magical location. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in. My son and his wife enjoyed the hot tub each evening watching the stars (with a bottle of wine!)
