Ideal for family holidays and celebrations, this stylish and spacious barn conversion offers a range of activities both at the property and in the surrounding Black Mountains.
Surround yourself in sublime Welsh countryside at this exquisite barn conversion in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Sitting on a complex of properties on a working farm, it sleeps eight people over four bedrooms and welcomes two canine companions – making it the perfect rural retreat for a family or group of friends who like to enjoy a little luxury when they travel. And if you want to make it a bigger affair, you can book the neighbouring barn conversion (they share a courtyard) and host a celebration for up to 12 people.
Step inside and you can’t help but notice that the oak flooring and exposed stonework create a refined sense of authentic country living. Make your way to the kitchen/diner and cook up a storm. There’s plenty of room around the table for everyone to eat together. Alternatively, head out to the garden, fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco. After dinner, hop into the hot tub for a luxurious soak, or enjoy a glass of bubby by the wood burner in the living room. If you’re feeling a little livelier, head out to the barn (shared with the neighbouring property), where you’ll find a pool table. At the end of the day, there’s one bedroom on the ground-floor and three bedrooms up the oak staircase.
You’ll find one of the nicest walks in the Brecon Beacons at Llyn y Fan. Starting at the carpark in Llanddeusant (6 miles), an easy four-mile circular hike takes you along a bustling river, past a lonely llyn and along a mountain ridge. Or pop into the market town of Llandeilo (6.5 miles) to take a stroll around Carreg Cennen castle and stop off for a bite in eat in one of the many sophisticated eateries.
