Perfect family retreat to relax, enjoy activities and explore the heritage, culture and countryside in Wales and its borders, before coming back to the enclosed to enjoy a BBQ.

Escape your hectic pace of life and immerse yourselves in the tranquillity of the Carmarthenshire countryside with a stay in this charming property nestled amongst the undulating Welsh hills. Located 8 miles from the sleepy market town of Llandovery on the north-western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, you can explore the picturesque rural landscape and spend quality time with loved ones on long walks in the country on a holiday here. At the end of a tiring day, return home to snuggle up in front of the roaring fire with a hearty meal.

Exuding character and charm, stone walls, exposed beams and quirky windows honour the property’s rural heritage, whilst light tones and modern fixtures and fittings bring it up to date. Stepping inside, you’ll find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which allows you to cook, dine and relax together. Also on the ground floor, you’ll find a handy utility room and a family bathroom. Meanwhile, upstairs are two spacious bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and gorgeous exposed beams. Outside, enjoy peaceful al fresco dining against a backdrop of the Welsh countryside. As one of three properties at the same location, you could invite friends or family to join you, whilst still ensuring you have your own space.

Outdoor enthusiasts will be in their element here, with walking and cycling routes in all directions. Crychan Forest is a particular favourite with visitors and is only 4 miles away, as is Cwm Rhaeadr Forest (10 miles). The Tywi Valley Path also offers a lovely route from which to explore this corner of Carmarthenshire. Be sure to pack your binoculars in case you spot any local wildlife including the majestic red kites. The nearest town is Llandovery which has everything you’ll need, as well as impressive castle ruins to explore, a museum that unearths some local legends and a few independent shops/eateries.
