Crychan Forest is a particular favourite with visitors and is only 4 miles away, as is Cwm Rhaeadr Forest (10 miles). The Tywi Valley Path also offers a lovely route from which to explore this corner of Carmarthenshire. Be sure to pack your binoculars in case you spot any local wildlife including the majestic red kites. The nearest town is Llandovery which has everything you’ll need, as well as impressive castle ruins to explore, a museum that unearths some local legends and a few independent shops/eateries.
