WALKING & CYCLING: You could not be better placed for exploring on foot, as the Shropshire Hills has many marked paths, not least the Shropshire Way, Herefordshire Way and Offa’s Dyke. Cyclists are also welcome on many of these routes and there is plenty of wildlife to be spotted along the way, so keep your eyes peeled for the rare and the wonderful.
CASTLES & CULTURE: You will find yourself in an area adorned with National Trust properties to explore and learn from, in addition to an abundance of castles and ruins that historians will simply adore. Take a trip to Stokesay Castle, discover the striking medieval magnificence of Ludlow Castle, or simply wander the streets of Ludlow itself for a whole plethora of historical influences.
TOUR THE TOWNS: Surrounded by a selection of picture-perfect villages, venture to the wonderful market town of Ludlow, filled with a whole host of shops, cafes and eateries. Slightly further, but no less worth a visit, is Leominster and Tenbury Wells also boast a sublime array of independent and high street retailers as well as idyllic scenery. For a more contemporary shopping experience, Kidderminster is easily reachable by car from the barn for a wider range of amenities.
FINE FAYRE: Ludlow itself has many a delicious eatery to tantalise your taste buds if you are in the town, however if you would rather stay closer to home, Hundred House Inn at Purslow is just a pootle up the road. This historic coach house was built in 1685 and has a menu compiled of hearty, delectable dishes to die for.
