Nestled high in the Black Mountains, it's the most soulful of settings, a deeply luxurious retreat awaits. Dedicated to providing the very best in relaxing, romantic stays in a truly unique location.  Walk directly on to ancient paths and drover trails, drink in the sublime views as well as the fresh onsite spring water, detox in the spa & snuggle by the log fire. Complete bliss, perfectly designed just for two...plus a pooch of course at no extra charge!

The Brecon Beacons National Park is fully worthy of its International Dark Sky Reserve Status and the cottage, perched on the slopes of The Black Hill is aptly named with sublime views both day and night.  Set amongst quiet organic farmland, there is a deep sense of tranquillity stemming from its ancient origins, with medieval roots and natural springs lending a wonderful sense of mystery and intrigue to the unique setting.

Inside, the cottage is warm and welcoming, sympathetically renovated, with traditional craft techniques and materials throughout, and a cheery blend of contemporary style and classical beauty. Numerous original pieces of art line the walls. The new spa and sauna is a fabulous modern addition, with some of the best views we've seen from a day bed.  Sessions may be booked at a cost starting at £60 for 2 hours.  All full range of spa and massage therapies are also available, including beauty treatments and Reiki.

Originally the hay loft for the farm, the living space now houses a smart, fully equipped kitchen with a Nespresso machine, with smart dining table, perfect for two, yet easily large enough to invite a couple of friends to dine too.  A couple of steps lead to the sitting room with large wood burning stove, a generous basket of wood, as well as Apple TV, a Netflix pod, DVD and Wi-Fi throughout.

Upstairs is dedicated to decadence!  The large landing area has a linen sofa bed, which is great to lounge with a book, bedding provided of course. The super king-size bedroom is our favourite room.  It is huge, with gorgeous French style bed from Loaf, a bookshelf full of holiday reads and inspiration for great days out and stunning views of the rolling Welsh Marches out beyond the window.....you just need to persuade the other half to bring you breakfast in bed!

You could easily spend a short break here without visiting the supermarket, stock up at the award winning village shop, Hopes, in Longtown for local fayre on the route in, then dine at the local pub and farm restaurants throughout the weekend. There is a high level of service at this cottage, with a warm and friendly welcome, assistance and advice on where to visit if you need it and a maid service available too.

Honeymooners are in for an extra treat with a complimentary bottle of champagne upon arrival and during winter you can enjoy four nights mid-week for the same price as a three night weekend.

An exceptional holiday is just waiting to be had, the perfect place for a proposal, a honeymoon or rekindling the fire!

Beautiful clean cottage in a stunning location. Lots of local walks you can do directly from cottage. Our dog enjoyed all the walking and loved coming back to sleep in front of the log burner in the evenings. The Bridge Inn is only 10 mins drive and serves decent pub food. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day break.

Immaculate and stylish cottage that offered peace, quiet and expansive views. The new owners did a brilliant job at making us and our dog feel welcome and relaxed. There are long walks from your doorstep and a short drive to lovely market towns (Hay-on-Wye, Abergavenny) with brilliant restaurants. We loved it.

Wonderful location for a peaceful, quiet holiday. Great views and walks from the cottage. Comfortable living area and large bedroom. Nearest pub for food is about 3miles away and Hay on Wye is 8 miles mostly on single track roads.

A gorgeous property in a stunning location. It had everything we needed for our week long stay. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Beautiful cosy cottage in an amazing location. Very comfy bed . Shame there was no welcome basket , not even milk and the kitchen was rather shabby, dirty oven door and wall near dishwasher . An expensive cottage just lacking a few details to make it great.

We had a lovely short break at this peaceful and beautifully designed cottage. It was immaculately clean, very well equipped, had a gorgeous wood-burner - perfect when returning from wet walks!
