A large welcoming home near the coast. Light and airy interior, a great garden and enough space for two families, creating an excellent base to enjoy the best sights and attractions of Pembrokeshire.
Sitting on a pretty country lane just outside Saundersfoot, this gorgeous stone cottage offers the best of both country and coastal living. Boasting a whole host of rural rambles right from its doorstep, it’s also just a mile away from two beaches and a quaint harbour. Sleeping eight people across four bedrooms and welcoming two canine companions, it’s the perfect hideaway for families or groups of friends who want to spend their days walking along beaches and country lanes, and their evenings soaking in the hot tub or sharing stories around the fire pit.
Step inside and make your way to the funky, spacious kitchen. Cook dinner and then get everyone together to eat around the dining table. Alternatively, step outside onto the raised patio, fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco. After dinner, pour a glass of wine and relax in the hammock, pull up a seat by the fire pit, or take a dip in the hot tub. Alternatively, head to the living room to enjoy a glass of wine and warm your toes by the wood burner, while the kids play games and enjoy having the second lounge to themselves. When it’s time for bed, there’s one delightful bedroom on the ground floor and three on the first floor.
Spend a wonderful day down at Saundersfoot Beach (1.5 miles). The water is shallow, so it’s ideal for swimming and paddling. You can also hire a canoe or try your hand at wind surfing. Check out the cute harbour at the south end of the beach and stop off in one of the bars or cafes for a drink or two. Alternatively, head to Tenby (5 miles) and take a 20-minute boat trip out to peaceful Caldey Island, which is owned by a community of Cistercian monks.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
