HILLS & ADVENTURE : There's a lovely trail around nearby Mold, the tourist info centre have a helpful leaflet to guide you round, perfect for more gentle walking. For those looking to stride out though, the Snowdonia National Park is our "Go To" for adventure, with stunning scenery, breathtaking peaks and every form of adventure challenge, from canyoning, zip wiring in an underground cave, to scaling Snowdon by rail or foot, you can't fail to be exhilerated. Adventurous kids (& adults) will love Bounce Below & Zip World, an underground adventure playground!
WORTH A DRIVE : The Horseshoe Pass is a stunning mountainous drive, with some great walks along the way, finish off with a trip to the pretty town of Llangollen for a welcome cup of tea! Loggerheads Country Park is near to The Carriage House and has a wealth a beautiful walks and riverside trails.
SHOPPING & BROWSING : The nearest town of Mold is within walking distance, as well as local stores, there's a traditional market on both Wednesday and Saturdays, where the town becomes pedestrianised and the stall holders take over. For flexing the plastic, then head off to Chester for an afternoon shopping in the pretty Roman City, complete with race course, independent shops, as well as the usual high street favourites.
