Occupying an idyllic location in West Wales, this former mill boasts unique and charming interiors, and magical valley views. Radiating sheer rustic romance, this fairy-tale property is the perfect country escape for earth mothers and nature lovers, with gorgeous country walks all around. Its location makes it perfectly placed to explore the Ceredigion Coast Path and the Cambrian Mountains, while its tranquil garden with a stream at the bottom offers the ideal spot to relax and unwind.

Arranged over two storeys, this beautiful stone property is bursting with charm and character, and decorated in a flamboyant country style. Set beneath a beamed ceiling with traditional slate flooring and a feature stone pillar, the lounge/kitchen/diner forms the heart of this lovely home. Cook up a storm on the range-style oven and gather around the table to dine. On warm days, spark up the charcoal BBQ and dine outside, watching the nature and wildlife all around, then enjoy a glass of wine as the sky grows darker and you can observe uninterrupted views of the night sky. On cooler evenings, snuggle up by the wood burner, listening to the logs crackling and delve into your favourite book or watch a film on TV. When bedtime calls, pick between the king-size bedrooms, one with a screened-off WC and freestanding bath, and the other with dual-aspect windows and stunning views.

Stroll out from your front door and amble alongside the stream or walk to the nearby red squirrel retreat, keeping your eyes peeled for red kites gliding overhead. The old market town of Tregaron (9 miles) boasts a gastropub, shops, the Red Kite Centre and Museum, and is steeped with local history. The university town of Lampeter offers a greater selection of shops and restaurants, and is home to the Welsh Quilt Centre. This location is a haven for walkers with the Ceredigion Coast Path around 22 miles west, and the Cambrian Mountains all around.

Beautifully located towards the end of a very quiet valley. Abundant birdlife and sheep are the only noises to be heard. Owners live on-site and are very accommodating. We found this to be a good base to either explore this remote part of Wales or immerse ourselves in peace and tranquility.
