Lovely detached Farmhouse on the edge of the Brecon Beacons with walks from your doorstep
Nestled in a tiny hamlet below the Epynt Way on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this property is a wonderfully warm and generously proportioned, detatched family farmhouse. Cosy as soon as you walk through the door, greeted by a jolly red Rayburn, well equipped kitchen and farmhouse table, perfect for piling high with Welsh cakes and cups of tea.
You step on through to a large living room, which as well as the wood burning stove, has two large comfy sofas, wi-fi, flat screen tv, dvd player and lots of family films and games to enjoy. For those who enjoy music, there's a great record player and a large collection of LP's for you to enjoy, as well as a guitar for those who prefer to create their own music!
Upstairs there are three cosy bedrooms, a large master bedroom, which has ample room for a cot, should it be needed. A further double and a sweet childrens twin bedroom, complete with books for younger children. Bedding is provided for all rooms and towels too. There is an upstairs bathroom, with bath, separate shower, basin and loo.
Attached to the cottage is a barn, which makes a great space for children to enjoy...or good bike storage for those staying without children. There's a selection of toys, plus a table tennis table just outside the door on the terrace. There are two main garden areas, a large grass play field behind the house, there's a swing set too and small wooded area perfect for a game or two of hide and seek!
In front of the house is an enclosed garden, with outdoor furniture, a bbq and chiminea, perfect for sitting outside with the family dog. There are walks from the door, either to the village pub, just over a mile away, or stride out directly up and onto the stunning Epynt Way which look back over the dramatic peeks of the Beacons. The area is great for cycling too, with bike hire available in Brecon and a good local pub a few miles back along the lane. Brecon is the nearest main town and closer to the property there is a good farm shop and for those who love food, Wrights food emporium in Llanarthne is well worth the drive to refill the wine bottles!
