Step back and admire the tops of the Black Mountains before entering this cute little bothy.  Quaint, compact and cosy in nature, with everything you need neatly arranged for a wonderful stay.   The warm old red sandstone and traditional oak is perfectly framed by the rich emerald of the countryside backdrop, surrounding the property, beautiful in the summer but also fantastic in the winter. There is fishing in Longtown and nearby areas, and there are many castles in the border lands including Longtown

The small, perfectly formed living area welcomes you with its cosy log burner.   It's a great place to settle down in front of after a day's exploring.  Sink down into one of the lloyd loom chairs with a good book and a hot cup of cocoa.  During the warmer summer months you can open the stable doors, let the light flood through and enjoy the fresh air.

The open-plan living area has been cleverly designed to incorporate cooking, eating and relaxing.   This beautiful handcrafted space is perfect for cooking up a hearty supper of fine local produce before tucking in at the table which sits by the window, just perfect for two.

A comfortable and cosy retreat wouldn’t be complete without a wooden ladder to climb at bed time! This enchanting upper level with its low wooden beams has a comfortable bed for a great night's sleep.

Outside there is a sunny patio with table and chairs, and a charcoal BBQ for summer evenings.  Enjoy the lovely views from the bench at the top of the garden while enjoying breakfast outside.
