DELIGHTFUL DETACHED COASTAL PROPERTY WITH ACRES TO EXPLORE

The cottage sits within the grounds of a working dairy farm with cattle and sheep in the surrounding fields. It is detached and your privacy is very important to the owners. It has every comfort considered, sea views and great walks, it is perfect for a romantic escape or a proper family retreat.

Carmarthenshire boasts some of the most glorious sandy beaches in Europe and there are plenty to choose from, including the very pretty Tenby and Laugharne, made famous by Dylan Thomas, both less than 20 minutes from the cottage. Plenty of walking on the pretty trails along the lanes, through Carmathenshire and neighbouring Pembrokeshire, the Celtic Trail is 143 miles in total and they make for a great days cycle ride and the All Wales Coast Path which is 870 miles long. Bike hire is also available locally.

The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 king-size and 1 twin. Bathroom: with shower and WC. Lounge: with woodburner (first basket of logs included), TV and DVD. Kitchen/diner: electric cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Outside: garden terrace with outdoor furniture. Larger grounds surround the property with a pond. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included. Regret no smoking. Regret no pets. Additional info: please be careful around the pond with children, not in the immediate garden. Location: beach 5 miles. Arrival: 4pm.

TAKE A HIKE: Step out on to the All Wales Coast Path, a bit much for a morning walk at 870 miles long, however there are beautiful stretches directly from the cottage door.

BRING A BIKE: Pretty trails along the lanes, through Carmathenshire and neighbouring Pembrokeshire, the Celtic Trail is 143 miles in total and there are pretty sections that make a great day cycle ride, taking in some of the best of local pubs en-route. Bike hire is also available locally.

HEAD TO THE BEACH: The nearest beach of Llansteffan is fabulous for walking though soft sand, with ice cream in hand and taking a tour of the castle perched just above the beach. Carmarthenshire has six of the best sandy beaches in Europe and one of the longest in Wales, so bucket & spades at the ready!

TOUR THE TOWNS: Laugharne is just 15 minutes away and famed for being Dylan Thomas's home, worth a trip to visit the Boat House, have a peek at the Castle and pop into collectors haven, The Tin Shed, there's also a beach well worth the visit too. Tenby is another favourite, a very pretty walled seaside town with a great beach, reached within 20 minutes from the cottage

The house was very clean. The view from the kitchen especially was lovely, farmers were nice enough to let us come and watch at milking time (the kids really enjoyed seeing the cows up close). We took small children and there was lots to do very near to the house, Folly Farm was a highlight. It was lovely coming back each day, after also having swuRead moreng by the farm shop and roasting delicious organic veg. Overall a pleasant stay and thanks to the owners for the flowers and basket of biscuits. Hide
