Step back in time on this gloriously restored estate set in the very heart of the Herefordshire countryside. Surrounded by beautiful farmland, this three-level manor-style house is the ideal base for keen walkers and dog lovers, with a network of footpaths on the doorstep. It is also perfect for celebrations - birthdays, anniversaries and hen dos - or just big family get-togethers, with space for 18 people (plus one furry friend).

Live in the lap of luxury at this Grade II listed holiday home. The interior is just as grand as the interior, with a spacious formal dining hall perfect for a celebration dinner. Enjoy a lazy Sunday morning in the traditional drawing room, looking out onto the well-kept front lawns as you sip your coffee and flick through the day’s papers. The property is spread over three floors, with elegant furnishings enhancing the home’s original features, while outside the open gardens make a wonderful setting for a spot of afternoon tea or a game of croquet.

Spend your days exploring the many market towns nearby, including Leominster (12 miles) - famed for its antique shops. Medieval Ludlow (18 miles) is a haven for foodies, with several Michelin starred restaurants and a regular local produce market, plus a host of events and festivals throughout the year. Lace up your walking boots and venture a little further afield as you traverse the Brecon Beacons (17 miles) and their striking Black Mountains (24.5 miles) - a must-visit with the property lying so close to the Welsh border.

Hard to see evidence of the beautiful refurbishment that is claimed in the blurb. I would only recommend it to friends if they were happy to accept it being somewhat shabby in decor and furnishings. However it is in a good location for exploring the surrounding area.
