You’ll find it hard to steal yourself away from the peace and tranquillity of the lakeside. However, when the time comes you can enjoy a wealth of walking from your front door, the Sugar Loaf is within walking distance and slightly further afield you have access onto the Black mountains. The traditional market town of Crickhowell is just a short drive away with great independent shops, pubs and coffee shops. In the market town of Abergavenny, you will find a Norman Castle, farmers markets and the fabulous Food Festival each September. Brecon, Hay-on-Wye, Cardiff and Hereford are all in easy reach, as well as Wales Industrial Heritage sites in Blaenavon.
Step through the gate and follow the wooden walkway across the edges of the lake where you will see secluded in the distance the cabin. This rustic cabin has been constructed with re-claimed materials in order to blend into the natural surroundings. So, step inside where you will be pleasantly surprised, the high ceiling, traditional wooden cladded walls and floors provide a feeling of warmth. The lounge/kitchen/diner is warmed by a wood burner where you can enjoy an unlimited supply of wood from the farm. Sit back and relax on the vintage sofa and enjoy the views out onto the terrace. The kitchen area is compact and well-equipped offering an electric two ring hob, combi oven and fridge. A colourful dresser finishes the space and is brimming with all you would need for preparing a simple supper. For dining a small table can be pulled out with wooden chairs that are neatly tucked away. So, when the day is done you will head to the bedroom where the double bed with soft bed linen and blankets is set within a hand-crafted wooden frame. There is an en-suite shower room with shower and WC.
Open the doors and step onto the wooden terrace, the wooden table and chairs enjoy the shelter of the cabin along with the afternoon sun. There is parking for one car.
