This former railway station enjoys an enviable position in the heart of the Pembrokeshire countryside, yet is still close to the county’s coastline and several attractions. A walking and cycling trail runs right past the property, making it perfect for active holidays. Milford Haven is the nearest town, and features a marina decorated with bars, restaurants and a museum. Some of Pembrokeshire’s stunning sandy beaches are also within easy reach, with many being dog-friendly year-round. Watwick Bay is the closest, six miles from the property. Among the towns that you can visit in the local area within an hour’s drive are Pembroke, Haverfordwest and St Davids, where you’ll discover a choice of places to eat, independent shops and even historic castles.

Stepping into the property, you’ll be welcomed into the entrance hall, through which you can reach the lounge. Here you can curl up on the comfortable furniture with a glass of wine and watch the Smart TV  and a  DVD player, while a selection of books and DVDs and an iPod dock are also provided. From the lounge, head through the glass doors and you’ll come into the conservatory, a light and airy space with great views out to the garden. With a table and chairs, this is the perfect place to enjoy a meal together. The kitchen can also be reached from the conservatory, equipped with everything you need to really feel at home, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer (behind a cupboard door), microwave, and dishwasher. A washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in the separate utility room, where you can also store muddy boots and coats. There is also a breakfast bar here ideal for if you are grabbing a quick snack. As the accommodation is single-storey, the bedrooms and bathroom are also found on the ground floor. Off the central hallway, you can reach the master bedroom, a double bed with a TV and iPod dock. The second bedroom is also a double, and enjoys the benefit of an en-suite with a walk-in shower and WC, as well as doors leading out to the patio. There is also another bathroom, with a bath, handheld shower and WC. At the end of the hallway, there is a study with a desk and chair, perfect for catching up on work or even just some quiet reading. On request, a travel cot can be set up in this room.

Behind the property lies the stunning private garden, approached from the conservatory, consisting of a lawn with pretty flower beds, and secluded woodlands at the bottom. Near the conservatory, there is also a patio area, with seating, a BBQ and a fire pit, making it a great place to dine al fresco and relax in the evening. A path leads around the property to one of the bedrooms, where there is another outdoor area to sit and relax. Off-road parking is available, while additional roadside parking can be found across the lane.

Lovely cottage, so peaceful! Great walks straight from the front door, locals very friendly. Supermarket 12 minutes away by car, everything you need for a relaxing holiday!

A great cottage in a peaceful remote location but only a few miles drive to local towns and beaches , cottage was immaculate on arrival . Lovely fluffy towels and quality bedding . Quirky cottage with huge garden area . Great walks from the door along disused railway . Superb beaches in the area. Highly recommended .

We had a wonderful time. The cottage is tastefully designed and hugely comfortable. the kitchen/dining area is brilliant, full of light and space. We loved the garden, the proximity to a old railway line for running and cycling and the easy access to the rest of Pembrokeshire. The superfast broadband was also a big bonus.
