Enjoying a rural location on the fringes of the small community village of Mamhilad, perfect for lazy days enjoying the local waymarked paths that meander across the meadows and farmlands, and for breath-taking views take a trip into the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. Enjoy the Wye Valley in the Autumn with its array of golds, and in springtime take in the blue bells and wild garlic in the Forest of Dean. A year-round events calendar will also keep you busy and eager to return with the Abergavenny Food Festival, Hay-on-Wye May festival and Brecon jazz to name but a few.

Take in the views across the meadows and step back in time into this beautiful semi-detached barn, enter the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, offering a warm welcome with exposed beams and traditional furnishings. For a chilly evening why not light the wood burner and relax with a good book, catch up on your favourite TV programmes or watch a film on the DVD player. And for a moment's peace, hide away in the snug with a stable door overlooking the rear patio area. The farmhouse kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher is just perfect for preparing a hearty supper, gather around the dining table and enjoy a glass of wine whilst catching up over a long day.  There is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer which is a great place for wet coats and wellies. When the day is done, follow the hallway to a super-king-size bedroom which enjoys French doors out to the garden, along with an en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and WC. There is also a separate shower room with WC just along the corridor.

Outside, enjoy your morning coffee with stunning views in the private courtyard, with garden furniture, BBQ, and in the late summer evenings light the chiminea. There is allocated off-road parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Great location for a quiet break. Our dogs loved the gardens and paddock. Short walk to the local pub offering nice food and drinks. Lots to do in the surrounding area, which were dog friendly. The cottage was well maintained and had everything you needed and more.

Vedw Barn Haven is perfect for a real get away from it all break. The cottage and gardens are charming and well equipped. One of the most important things for us is a good powerful shower, which it was. Cottage is lovely with lovely gardens. Couldn't really fault it at all. What we didn't like was the narrow one track lane to it and so we wouldn't go again but only because of that.
