Nestled in ancient woodland, this aptly named hut overlooking the dramatic Usk Valley is wonderfully green and calm with a riot of bluebells carpeting the floor each spring. Off grid luxury and romance in complete seclusion and with your own private wood fired hot tub. A short drive and you're in the pretty town of Monmouth which has greengrocers, artisan delicatessens, bookshops and a wine merchant .

Take a drive through the Wye Valley, noting the Michelin restaurants as you go and within a matter of minutes you’ll find yourself in Tintern, with its awe - inspiring 12th Century ruins,Tintern Abbey . Spend days exploring the area with picnic or paddle in hand, explore ancient ruins, high wires and cycle routes in the nearby Forest of Dean, or stride out for the mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Back up at the hut, sunshine dapples through the canopy, views stretch out for miles, sheep graze and if you’re lucky deer bound past. There’s every reason not to venture far at all. A giant of a shepherds hut, every comfort has been considered, from the cosiest of king-size cabin beds, warmest of wood burning stoves and lashings of hot water in the shower. There’s a hammock for lazy days and a fire pit for the obligatory camp fire…the mildest of wild adventures in the beautiful Welsh countryside! Now with a new addition of a wood fired hot tub.

Beautiful place with majestic views and nicely secluded. Close to lovely town of Monmouth too. Only problem was the wood for the fired hot tub, and indoor log burner. It was not seasoned, and would not light. I finally got the stove lit after using all of the kindling but it took ages as kept going out. Never got hot tub lit on the first night afteRead morer hours trying as the logs were way too big and damp. Had to buy some in town next day. Disappointed as no hot tub for girlfriend on her birthday. Hide

Such a beautiful and cosy hut with spectacular views. We felt at home straight away and enjoyed relaxing in the peace and quiet. This little cabin had everything you need and the hot tub under the stars was amazing!

This was the most idyllic place we have stayed. Everything was perfect. The owners even left fresh milk, eggs from their chickens and Welsh cakes for us on arrival which was a lovely surprise. The bed was the comfiest I have ever slept on and all you can hear is the nature outside! Our gas did run out one morning but we called the number left in thRead moree book and the owner came down very quickly with his wonderful sheepdog Beth and replaced the canister in no time at all! This was my partner and I's first ever holiday together, and it was absolutely fantastic! The location and views are phenomenal, the hosts were lovely and friendly, the price was more than reasonable in our eyes and the hut had everything we needed and more. The shepherd hut exceeded my expectations. The location is in the woods is idyllic and it was so peaceful. The fact that the woods are fenced in was ideal for my dogs as they had the freedom to sniff at their leisure. The kitchen is well equipped to do basic cooking, and the hut itself is so comfortable and cosy. The eggs, milk and Welsh cakes on wRead moreelcome were a lovely added extra. Lovely shepherds hut accessed along a woodland path. Stunning views with swing seats from an old oak tree. Well equipped with indoor and outdoor furniture and a super comfy bed! Great location to explore too, will definitely be back.

Such a lovely and private location, the view is incredible. Loved having the field of sheep next to us aswell. Can't really fault this place. The bed was very cosy and comfortable. Just be careful not to leave the windows/door open at night with any lights on as huge hornets will fly in, we got 3 in at once as we left the door open since the oven kRead moreicks out a lot of heat for hours after you use it. So peaceful and calm, noone within miles except sheep. Just a shame about the weather. Hot tub was amazing. Was expecting to feel cold during the nights and in the morning but was very warm and cozy.

This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been! The views alone make it worth paying to stay here but the hut is also lovely. The bed is really comfortable and there is everything you need to do simple meals in the kitchen. My dogs loved the bluebell wood and it was great that they could roam freely. We had the most amazing weekend secluded away from the rest of the world surrounded by bluebells, peace and serenity. The views and sunset were gorgeous and we enjoyed our time chatting away in the swinging chairs, around the fire and in the hot tub. Would recommend to any couple wanting a wholesome stay, it was worth every penny!

Wonderful hut in an amazing location with great views and lots to do in surrounding area. Hut itself is well equipped for cosy nights in avoiding the cold or out in the sunshine around the camp fire. The bed is SO comfortable!!! A real home from home, we can't wait to visit again.

Absolutely incredible! If you want peace and quiet, and to relax, then this is the place for you. We stayed for 4 nights in October and it was perfect.l. no one else about, apart from the odd farmer and cows/sheep in the fields. This is our second visit here and it was even better than the last time. The hut and the surroundings are pretty much perfect and there is everything you need and more besides. The sunsets are amazing and it is lovely to sit in the swing chairs or tub to watch it. Absoutley perfect way to spend our mini moon, just the 2 of us, in a very peaceful, secluded and beautiful spot. The views are simply amazing, we sat in those swings for hours just relaxing, talking, laughing and occasionally crying happy tears. Had a fantastic stay at the view of the valley - it really is a special place in the most scenic location. The hut is so cosy and has everything you need - but the breathtaking views are the real star of the show - especially when lying in the hammock watching the sun go down. We cant wait to return.

We spent an amazing week for our honeymoon staying at the hut. Our two dogs had full run of the woods, truly dog-friendly! Comfy bed, generous supplies on arrival and a beautiful setting. The hot tub was great but getting it going and keeping it going was a bit cumbersome, especially in the rain however this will not stop up coming again! 10/10!

The most amazing get away location. Me and my boyfriend visited over a weekend in June with our two dachshunds. The hut was perfect and the views were out of this world. Plenty to do in the surrounding location. Beautiful walks and lots of castles and over doggy friendly places to visit!

We had the most wonderful honeymoon break in this beautiful and peaceful hut. The fresh eggs, Welsh cakes and milk were a lovely touch and we had plenty of firewood for use throughout the stay. Absolutely stunning location. Saw the bluebells in full flower and lambs but each season would offer something different. Wonderful relaxing place hut and amenities fantastic. Chepstow a short drive away. Couldnt find a fault and we glamp regularly. Loved the hot tub too.
