Set within the Brecon Beacons National Park, the cottage has really great walks from the door, fantastic cycle rides, for both road bikers and mountain biker, and pony trekking and caving nearby too.  Or you can just take a gentle stroll along the Brecon & Monmouth Canal which glides along at the bottom of the hill.

The owners live in the barn next door and will offer a warm welcome, with local bread, milk and eggs on arrival.  Then you'll be left to enjoy the privacy and comfort of your cottage for the rest of your stay.  Inside the cottage is warm and cosy, with a contemporary feel, country touches and a simple layout.  It's very easy to feel quickly at home and you can enjoy spreading out the maps and guidebooks provided in the cottage to plan your weekend adventures.

Set on one level, you step straight in to the open plan living space, with generous dining table, leather sofa, Shaker style units and TV/DVD combo for lazy nights in. The cottage is centrally heated so is immediately warm and cosy on arrival and great in all weathers.

The bedroom is everything a holiday cottage bedroom should be. Ttruly comfortable, subtly decorated with crisp bedlinen just waiting for you to relax into! There's a bath with jacuzzi bubbles and soft fluffy towels too.

Outside there is a private, sheltered terrace area, which catches the sun throughout the day. There is also a barbeque and outdoor furniture, all close by to a pretty willow tree...of course!

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Spectacularly positioned cottage up in the hills, with a thoughtful and carefully equipped interior. Great bed and bathroom - lovely that one can take dogs, and nice owners next door. The track is steep - so low slung cars beware, but well worth it once you're there.

Elaine, 15th October 2018

Everything was exactly as advertised. A lot of thought appears to have been put in by the owners to cater for everyone. Cleanliness was exceptional & the added extras such as bread, butter, milk, eggs etc were most welcome, as were the DVDs. The approach road, mentioned by some others, was easily accessed by a Ford Focus 2 wheel drive. However, I wRead moreould not advise taking a car with any added on low spoilers or other low bodywork. A very enjoyable stay. Hide

A pleasant, clean and quiet cottage . Interesting access by road is possibly not for the faint hearted . It's a shame that the cottage itself doesn't benefit from the fabulous views around it . Owners are friendly and not at all intrusive .

Willow cottage is excellent as a get away or a base to explore. We went Tuesday till Friday the missing phone signal was a great stress reliever. Local walks, stunning scenery, wildlife especially the bats brilliant, you can then drive quite easily to Hay on Wye browse some books, Brecon to buy last minute hill gear before Pen y Fan. We had a wonderful bank holiday weekend at Willow Cottage. The location is spot on for hiking, cycling and exploring local villages. The cottage itself was immaculate and had everything we needed for the weekend. We found access to the cottage was fine, although not ideal if you wish to walk home from the pub! The directions given were spot on. We Read morewould definitely return. Hide

Willow Cottage is a quaint, quirky, quiet little cottage in the middle of the Brecon Beacon Valleys overlooking beautiful countryside with the hills, mountains and small villages. The cottage is suitable for two people and has everything that you need. The owners are friendly. Love area. Nice villages and walks around the area. Would recommend SugaRead morer Loaf mountain and the National park for walks to explore the beautiful countryside that Brecon Beacons has to offer. Hide

Delightful retreat for two (plus dog). Lovely countryside with stunning walks from the door. Great welcome with bread, butter and eggs waiting for us on arrival. As others have noted - the road to the cottage isn't for the faint-hearted!

Me, my husband and the dog stayed at Willow Cottage for 3 nights. It is very quiet and peaceful and is a lovely place to stay in with everything that you would need. We would be happy to stay here again in the future and wouldn't hesitate recommending Willow Cottage.

We loved our stay in this cottage. It had everything we needed for the weekend plus some unexpected treats. The area is picturesque. Amazing hiking routes within a few minutes walk. Already planning a return trip.

Yasmin , 11th May 2018

Beautiful cottage with great amenities. Great for a relaxing getaway! The cottage is very remote and difficult to get to especially with the poor road surfaces on approach to cottage. Not ideal for any car that isnt a 4x4.

Jane, 9th April 2018

Cottage is very compact but perfectly formed. It is warm and comfortable and about as far from the madding crowd as you can get. Car access to the cottage is ok but 4x4 seems most appropriate due to steep hills and a long quite rough track leading to the property. Owners Sarah and Tony are very nice and good at leaving you alone, yet happy to sort Read moreany issues that may arrise. If you want to eat out we recommend The Vine Tree which is about a 5 min drive away. Hide
