Explore the private woodland, listen to the birds, relax in the hammock by the stream or enjoy stunning trails from the doorstep. Across the lane, walk the Sugar Loaf Mountain or stride out into the Brecon Beacons National Park or Wye Valley, both within easy reach. There are exceptional road trails and mountain biking within the area and The Black Mountains are home to pony trekking centres. The town of Crickhowell is within easy reach and good for stocking up on local fayre. The historical city of Hereford with Cathedral and Mappa Mundi and Hay on Wye, famous for the annual Hay Festival and numerous second hand bookshops, are both good for day trips.

WALK TO THE PUB : The Crown at Pantygelli, is the local, with a good reputation, it's within 20 - 30 minutes walking distance of the Wood Shack, or just five minutes in the car.
TAKE A HIKE : Stunning trails right from the Wood Shack door. Walk the Sugar Loaf Mountain, which is just across the lane, or stride out into the Brecon Beacons National Park, or Wye Valley, both in very easy reach.
PEDAL AROUND : Once home to the National Road Championships, there are exceptional road trails and mountain biking within the area, with nearby MBT centres and great local bike hire companies who will deliver a bike to the door. If owner Rob is around he's a very keen cyclist and can certainly point you in the right direction for a great day in the saddle.
PONY POWER : The Black Mountains are home to a few very good pony trekking centres, as well as more formal riding lessons being available at the local riding school, less than 10 minutes drive away.
POSH NOSH: Some stunning Michelin starred restaurants and chefs are close at hand, choose from The Walnut Tree Inn, The Crown at Whitebrook, The Hardwick to name just a few. High tea at The Angel Hotel in Abergavenny is also delicious and great for a birthday treat, with champagne also on offer!
TOUR THE TOWNS: Farmers markets and a great September food festival in nearby Abergavenny. Mountain town of Crickhowell is within easy reach and good for stocking up on local fayre at the butchers, or maps at the Mountain Shop. SLEEPS 2 : Designed just for two, with double bed, decent mattress and proper bed linen, which is provided.
RELAXING : Cosy living space, with kitchen, dining table overlooking the deck area and sofa. Wood burning stove and a plentiful supply of logs. Unusually for a Glamping site, there is electricity, so electric lights and normal plug sockets are in situ...plus candles too for the romantic in you!
COOKING : Handbuilt kitchen with fridge, electric cooker and small hob, sink. Equipped with all the crockery and cutlery you should need, plus handy washing up liquid, salt, pepper etc. provided.
KEEPING CLEAN : Separate shower room with hot and cold shower, towels and soap included, loo and basin. The loo is composted, although impressively clean and civilised!
OUTSIDE SPACE : Oak deck area with outside furniture, hammock, chiminea and geneous supplies of logs. Stunning surrounding woodland for your private use. Parking for one car.
