Across the border, you will find an area steeped in history with some of Europe’s finest surviving castles and countryside, Brecon Castle overlooking the River Usk, Abergavenny Castle set against the spectacular hills and Crickhowell Castle, a prominent feature within a small market town. You may wish to enjoy a spot of fishing at one of several nearby locations. At the end of a busy day, return to the blissful peace of your retreat.
Take a stroll across the meadow and arrive at the wooden bridge where you will capture your first glimpse of this hand-crafted railway carriage. The covered terrace with double doors open into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, cosy chairs sit well in front of the wood burner effect electric fire, with a beautifully finished kitchen set against the rear of the carriage, equipped with electric hob, fridge with ice compartment, and for dining you can make the most of the carriage with the small pull out table and chairs. When your day is done climb into the built in double bed with TV. There is also a shower room with WC within the carriage.
Wake up to the sound of bird song and the babbling brook whilst you take breakfast on your private terrace over-looking the water’s edge, the terrace is a perfect sun trap and enjoys a cover for chiller autumn evenings along with a warming fire pit. Outside you will also find a gas BBQ. There is parking for two cars available.
