A romantic retreat with fabulous views over the rolling Shropshire countryside, set on a working farm. Close to the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge and Much Wenlock, perfect to explore Shropshire.

Perfect for two, this cosy shepherd’s hut sits in a wonderfully rural location with walks from your door. The World Heritage Site of Ironbridge and AONBs are close to home, so after a day filled with exploring, come home where the wood burner effect electric fire welcomes you back from the great outdoors with open arms. Stay cosy inside or bask in the fresh air and fire up the BBQ for a sizzling banquet before bed.

Country style flows throughout this romantic hut where you can savour date night dinners or cosy film evenings. Natural tones complement the pretty patterns which dot the open-plan living space and create an inviting ambience helping you to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of your everyday routine. Create your favourite spreads in the elegant kitchen area before tucking in inside or out and sipping al fresco tipples in your private garden. Wash clothes fresh from adventure in the shared utility room and while away time exploring the farm and meeting your bovine neighbours. After a peaceful sleep in the gorgeous double bedroom, lace up your shoes and head outside once more.

With so much to see, the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge (5.5 miles) is a great place to start exploring. Follow well-trodden trails and marvel at the gorge before visiting the Victorian village and uncovering tales of years gone by. There are a handful of National Trust properties nearby including the 18th-century estate at Attingham Park (7.5 miles), the historic family home of Benthall Hall (7.5 miles) and the enchanted wooded parkland at Dudmaston (19 miles).

Beautiful Shepherd Hut clean, warm and cosy. Ideal for a short winter break. Well equipped, fantastic surroundings eg. garden and views. Would definitely return maybe in the summer next time. Will be recommending to everyone I know. Only regret is that I didnt get time to meet the cattle.

The cottage was very private and cosy. The only negative was the buzzing that could be heard in the garden coming from the electricity mass. I think a sweeping brush or dust pan and brush in the cottage would have been handy as there was a full kitchen so things could easily be dropped. The check in and check out process was very informal with us jRead moreust letting the owner know we had arrived and when we were leaving. Just loved this place. So peaceful and tranquil. It really is a place you can relax and unwind. Loved laying in bed in the morning listening to the birds and the cows whilst snuggled under the luxurious duvet.

A pretty, peaceful, perfect place. A lovely shepherd hut with its own private garden offering beautiful views of the distant hills and sounds of wildlife. The hut has all the things you need and a super comfy bed. Derek and his family, especially Molly the sheep dog are very friendly and welcoming. This place was just the tonic we needed. Hide

The lodge was clean, warm, and well equipped. The bed is super comfortable and the shower has plenty of pressure. We used the kitchen every day during our stay and I couldn't think of a single piece of equipment that we needed that wasn't supplied. In my opinion this is excellent value for money and ideal for a peaceful, relaxing, away from it all,Read more break. Thank you to both Derek and Sue for making us feel welcome. Hide

The Shepherd's Hut was lovely, warm and quirky. It looked out over fields and so peaceful. It had its own garden. The drive to the farm from the main road is a single track road with a few passing places which wasn't what I expected even though I don't drive. We only met one car and a lorry the week we were there thank goodness! The bed was the besRead moret comfortable bed I have slept in on holiday. The owners were really nice too. We stayed in this delightful shepherds hut for three days on a mini break and were absolutely delighted. It was helped of course that it was situated in a beautiful part of the world but that takes nothing away from the thought and effort that had gone into creating an amazing garden. Walking into the garden from the car park meant walking past a pRead morerettily-scented rose bush which invites you to turn round just to walk by it again. Birdsong, woods and some inquisitive cows in the adjoining field!! Hide
