This delightful and homely shepherds hut is a superb choice for a techno-detox and an uninterrupted romantic break. Marvel at the breathtaking scenery from the comfort of your bed before pulling on your walking boots to explore the scenery and the many winding, peaceful nature trails.

Surprisingly light and airy, this beautiful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping space is of a bespoke design. Relax in front of the cosy wood burner, make breakfast in the handmade kitchen, or relax on the hammock outside the door and breathe in the fresh country air. There is also an outdoor kitchen with charcoal BBQ - the ideal opportunity to dine alfresco when you simply cannot tear your eyes from the view. There is also an internal shower room with power shower and WC, adding a little more refinement to your glamping break.

On-site there is an honesty shop selling locally sourced meats, snacks and other items. Please note that due to social distancing measures, shared facilities such as this may be temporarily closed for everyone's safety. The delightful town of Usk is just 2.5 miles away, offering an array of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. Sample the local food at nearby Abergavenny, which hosts a popular food festival as well as many markets. Outdoor lovers will be in their element here, with plenty to do on water as well as land; head 8 miles to Llandegfedd Reservoir and enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and more.

Ty Gwn was just the most perfect place for our break away in Wales. Nick has a wonderful set up, everything you could need for an ideal holiday in the countryside. Our dog, Lucifer will miss Hetty. We would certainly recommend Ty Gwn to everyone.

A great welcome from the host and his dog Hettie. The gorgeous shepherds hut was nestled into the countryside with stunning views. It didnt feel isolated but at the same time remained private. Would definitely like a return visit.

Our shepherds hut - Wye - was lovely to stay in. An idyllic spot - and so peaceful - a real escape. It was wonderful to see the sunrise in the morning whilst in bed. Talking of beds, the mattress was extremely comfortable and the layout of the shepherds hut was so well thought out. Took my partner for his birthday and it was exatly what I hoped and wished for. Amazing stay. The owners of these beautiful huts were so kind, helpful and accommodating with everything and the brownies and beers on arrival were also a special touch. Cant wait to come back again one day
