A beautiful whitewashed stone cottage contrasting perfectly with the rich greens of the rolling countryside within which it sits. Climb the emerald hills and sweeping vistas before pulling yourself away to step into the covered porch, the perfect place to kick off your muddy wellies and well-worn walking boots before being greeted by the beauty of the rest of the cottage.

Warm, cosy and exquisitely decorated, the traditional open plan lounge invites you to unwind with its warming wood burner piled high with logs and comfortable furnishings laden with colourful throws and cushions. Light the fire, put your feet up and snuggle up with a good book and a warm cocoa of an evening; with miles of countryside through the window you can be assured complete peace and tranquillity.

The beautiful breakfast bar sits sympathetically in the corner of this spacious room, backed by a perfectly formed and well-equipped kitchen, in stylish grey tones. Cook up a storm using local produce from Wales’ natural larder after a day’s exploring and enjoy it with your loved ones – a simple social space from which to dine, chat and enjoy each other’s company. This is without a doubt the true hub of the cottage, where cooking up a meal has never been more fun!

With even the smallest of details not going amiss, at the end of the day make your way up the cottage style stairs where you’ll stumble across a delightful double bedroom complete with a luxurious king-size bed and glorious bed-side views across the open countryside. It’s a calm place to tuck yourself away and rest your weary head. The single bedroom, also on this floor, is the perfect hideaway for little ones, however you also have the flexibility to adjoin it to the trundle bed to create a second king-size bed – create a stay just perfect for you.

The bathroom, with its traditional wooden oak units detailed with shiny black hinges, boasts both an overhead shower and a bath. Take a dip, light some candles and soak your stresses away… Complete bliss! Step outside and pick your perfect picnic spot in the vast gardens; seat yourself on the wooden table and chairs, or choose somewhere amongst the grass. This pretty outside space is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee, or set the BBQ and indulge in a spot of alfresco dining as you watch the sun set over the hills and the stars come out. Whatever the time of day, the views are pretty special.

Lovely cottage in a quiet location, with great views over open countryside. Equipped with everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. Good to have a decent sized enclosed garden for our dog to safely explore. An absolutely wonderful stay - lovely cottage, the new sun room is dreamy. Well equipped kitchen, quiet location with walks on the doorstep. And best of all it felt truly dog friendly with the very secure garden.

Great location for exploring the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains and Wye Valley. Very peaceful with views over the mountains from the garden. Location provides the feeling of being remote but only 10 mins from Brecon and 15/20 mins from Hay on Wye. The cottage has everything you need and is very comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay here.

We stayed here for a weekend visit, having stayed in the next door cottage the year before. This one is definitely our favourite as it offers more space, and in our opinion better views of the Black Mountains in the distance. Homely, comfortable and the perfect base to go exploring this amazing part of the country. We will definitely be coming backRead more to stay.. Hide

Stayed here 3 times now, beautiful old cottage in a rural location. Having said that it has all the facilities for a comfortable stay without loosing any of its charm. Always feel renewed and refreshed after a holiday break here and never tired of looking at the view.
