Pretty white washed stone cottage, perfect romantic retreat for couples to explore the coast and mountains of North wales

This coastal retreat for two is perfect for couples looking to escape the hectic pace of everyday life and take it easy for a few days. Located at the southern end of Snowdonia National Park in the tranquil seaside village of Aberdovey (Aberdyfi), you can enjoy strolls along the beach, walks amongst the mountains or train rides up the coast from here. You can start your days with morning coffee outside your front door soaking up the sea views and end them with fish and chips on the golden, sandy beach, or a meal in the local pub.

Nestled amongst a small terrace of traditional Welsh cottages overlooking the sea, this idyllic property is bursting with charm. Beautifully decorated in cool, calm tones, it feels light and airy throughout, whilst contemporary features make it perfect for the modern visitor. After wandering up the steps to the front door, you’ll find yourself in the cosy lounge/kitchen/diner. Here, you can dine at the window whilst enjoying the sea views, snuggle up on the sofa in front of the wood burner and cook up a hearty breakfast or evening meal in the well-equipped kitchen. Up the narrow cottage stairs, you will find the bright, well-presented bedroom, with yet more sea views. An en-suite shower room completes the accommodation. There is a small bistro set outside the front door.

Situated on the Dyfi Estuary, Aberdovey allows you to explore the best of coast and country. With the mountains of Snowdonia in easy reach, there are a range of walking/cycling routes to suit all abilities. You’re also 15 miles away from the spectacular Llyn Mwyngil – one of the best fishing lakes in Wales, and the most photographed. Popular seaside resort, Aberystwyth, is 28 miles south and can be accessed via a picturesque train ride.
