Providing a light-filled retreat for larger families or a group of friends, this stylishly designed Grade II-listed property is perfect for exploring the north-eastern corner of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Sitting in the shade of the ancient fort of Castell Dinas, this stunning barn conversion is a fabulous retreat for eager walkers, cyclists and nature lovers discovering this magical area.

Stepping into this airy property the fresh and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is dominated by the feature staircase and provides a lovely space for you to unwind. The lounge has plenty of seating, a wood burner and a TV, and is just a step down from the dining area. Situated by the large double doors, the dining area has wonderful views, while the fully equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing your favourite meals. There are also two delightful ground-floor bedrooms – a twin and an en-suite double – and a family bathroom. The open-tread staircase leads to the first floor and its ‘floating’ landing with beautiful, exposed beams, as well as a family shower room and two cosy double bedrooms, each with sloping ceilings and far-reaching views. Outside, the extensive garden features a large lawn and several patio areas with outdoor furniture, providing ample space for a BBQ or for relaxing on a lazy afternoon.

Just half a mile from the Black Mountains Gliding Club, the property is perfect for a range of activities which also includes walking, cycling and hiking. Talgarth (4.5 miles) and Brecon (13.5 miles) both have a great choice of places to eat and drink. Other local attractions include Llangorse Lake (9.5 miles), Pwll y Wrach Nature Reserve (4 miles) and Tretower Court and Castle (14 miles).

Fabulous property, we celebrated New Year here with friends. Very well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. The log burner was fabulous and kept us lovely and warm. Super walks from the property. Would fully recommend.

Fantastic barn in a stunning location. Well equipped and so many lovely decorative touches. We had a wonderful week enjoying walks from the barn, starlit evenings in the hot tub and relaxing by the log burner. Wonderful place for a quiet holiday experiencing the beauty of the Brecon Beacons.

We had such a lovely week here - the welcome supplies, instructions and local recommendations for things to do were excellent. The property is fantastic and has everything we needed, including the best equipped kitchen in any property we have stayed in! Our hosts were amazing and offered suggestions and advice on things to do and places to eat. Beautifully converted barn in a quiet lane. Owner lives nextdoor and is very helpful but not intrusive. Lots of walks, biking etc both straight from the door and a shortish drive away. Shopping facilities and local eateries are limited.

The barn is in a great locations to explore the Brecon Beacons. The views from the garden are lovely. The barn is a great space for a large family. It has good sized comfortable bedrooms and a superb modern living area with plenty of room for everyone. We were a large family aged between aged 5 to 90 and we all loved it.
