Rustle up a tasty meal in the gorgeous farmhouse kitchen, which can be enjoyed together in the elegant dining room. The cosy lounge features a warming wood burner and comfy sofas, where you can unwind after a busy day. Down a few steps from the kitchen, there’s another little nook, with armchairs in front of the bread oven, where you can curl up with a book. French doors lead from the lounge to a patio with garden furniture, where you can dine alfresco. Expansive grounds stretch away from the property, providing ample space for children and dogs.

Alternatively, head north to Llandovery (10.5 miles) to investigate the 12th-century castle and explore walking routes into the Cambrian Mountains.
