A fabulous period property bursting with original features perfect for family gatherings or special celebrations in a peaceful rural location.

Take a break away to this farmhouse and immerse yourself in the tranquil countryside setting, with the beauty of the Brecon Beacons National Park 23 miles away for wild adventures and an extensive garden for family picnics and relaxing days soaking up the sunshine.

Sink into one of the three sumptuous sofas in the living room/diner and feel the warmth of the crackling wood burner which is set into a grand feature fireplace filling the room with character. Two dining tables fill the rest of the space seating 12 guests with exposed beams overhead and flagstone floors underfoot. There is a second living room area with a TV, wood burner and a cosy carpet which is fantastic for large groups ensuring space to gather together, and places to sit quietly and read a book. The chef of the group will love the spacious kitchen which is bursting with character with pastel cabinets and natural wood features. There is a Rangemaster electric cooker to ensure cooking en masse can be done with ease, ample preparation space on the surfaces, and a smaller dining table in the centre of the room. Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find a selection of bedrooms including a king-size bedroom and a double bedroom, traditionally styled, each with its own en-suite shower rooms. A tasteful twin and a room with a queen-sized bed complete the sleeping arrangements on this floor. Two bathrooms ensure all needs are met, with a bathroom for long evening soaks and a shower room to quickly refresh at the start of the day. Up a further set of stairs which are particularly steep, there is a fabulous attic room with a gorgeous king-size bed, a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and a luxurious chaise lounge beneath a bright window. Finally, another king-size bed with an en-suite shower room adjoins a room with a single bed making a great arrangement for families travelling with a young child. Surrounding the property is a large lawn where the children can run wild and burn off any extra energy, whilst the BBQ and garden furniture offer the opportunity to eat outside and sit back to watch a pleasant sunset.

Stock up on tasty local produce in Llanwrtyd Wells (3 miles) and pack a bag with all of your favourite picnic treats to set yourself up for a day out in the Welsh countryside, exploring the wild walking trails of Brecon Beacons National Park (23 miles). Alternatively, enjoy a slower pace of life for the day in the quaint village strolling through the streets and stopping off at independent shops and cafes to soak up the local culture. Bring the family out to Abergwesyn Common (5 miles) to explore the ancient landscapes dotted with rugged waterfalls and deep pools along the River Irfon for a fascinating day out, taken at your own pace.

Fantastic place to stay. We enjoyed a family Christmas with ten people, beautiful tree. So much space. Lots for younger family members. Big kitchen which is great when prepping Christmas Dinner. Would highly recommend.

A lovely old farmhouse, spotlessly clean, comfortable with a spacious, very well equipped kitchen. Ideal for families as there is a large sitting room with tv plus a large dining room with sofas for separate group activities. Comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. Owners based nearby and very helpful.

This is a really lovely cottage and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. There was enough space for us all to eat or sit together on really comfortable sofas, but also space to be apart if we wanted. The kitchen is equipped with pretty much everything you could need and is good to cook in. The beds were comfortable and everything felt nice and clRead moreean. The garden (which is shared with one other property) has plenty of room, but the grass does slope. The views are stunning. We plan to go back! Hide
