Treat yourselves to a stay in this gorgeous cottage in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. Absorb the panoramic views across your surroundings from inside or out at the holiday home, which sleeps up to six guests and welcomes one pup. Enjoy water sports at Llangorse Lake, 3 miles away; spend your afternoons in Crickhowell, 7 miles away, with its independent shops; go walking or cycling then return home to relax together beside an open fire or out in the glorious Welsh sunshine.
Let yourselves in and wander on through to the kitchen to light the wood burner and prepare dinner with the delicious ingredients in your welcome pack. Pause at the breakfast bar with a glass of wine then lay the table in the dining room. After dinner, unwind in the conservatory room or head through to the lounge to stoke up the open fire and watch TV. Gaze up at the night skies through one of the telescopes once it is dark. Find you also have a ground-floor WC and an outside utility room, with space for bicycles. At the end of each exciting day, climb the stairs to choose between a king-size bedroom, a double and a twin, with an en-suite shower room. The family bathroom is also up here. Spill out into the beautiful garden from the conservatory. Watch the children play on the sunken trampoline, light the BBQ and simply gaze out at the scenery. Find parking for four cars at the cottage.
Venture 4.5 miles to Talybont-on-on-Usk to walk beside the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. Head 7.5 miles to the Talybont Reservoir, where you can circle the serene lake on a 6-mile walk. Drive 15 miles for a day out to the famous book town of Hay-on-Wye, with its many shops, art galleries and cafes.
