Lovely corner barn with enclosed garden and panoramic rural views near Bala. Perfect for couples to relax or take an active break in North Wales countryside and Snowdonia National Park.
Gaze out over spellbinding North Wales from this attractive cottage for two, close to the fringes of Snowdonia National Park. Also welcoming a pair of happy hounds, the one-bedroom former barn nestles on a working farm approximately 3.5 miles from the historic market town of Bala. Take in the panoramic vistas from every window during your stay; strike out across the picturesque countryside with your four-legged friends by your side; spend time at serene Llyn Tegid, the largest natural lake in Wales, walking along its shores, fishing or canoeing.
Open the front door to this stone property and wander inside to find airy accommodation filled with natural light. Head into the kitchen to make a cup of tea and start preparing a romantic dinner for two. Set the table in the lounge/diner and, on warm evenings, open the doors onto the terrace to allow a fresh breeze in. Tear yourselves away from the far-reaching, countryside views to settle on the comfortable seating for the evening in front of a good film on TV. A wet room is also at this level. When bedtime beckons, climb the stairs to the bathroom to run yourself a hot bubble bath and then lay your head in the double bedroom. Take breakfast out on the terrace on fine days. Head out through the farm grounds to wander beside the river. You’ll find parking for two cars at the property.
While away your afternoons in Bala, shopping for local produce and pausing in cafes and pubs. Play golf here or embark upon a 14-mile walk that will take you right around the lake. Journey along the southern shore on the narrow-gauge Bala Lake Railway. Or, enjoy long forest walks at Aberhirnant, 3.5 miles from the cottage.
