Set in stunning rural surroundings, this quaint and traditional stone-built farmhouse has been lovingly updated to provide refreshing holiday accommodation for larger families and groups of friends.
Soak up the stunning views out across enchanting Snowdonian scenery when you stay at this traditional yet spacious Welsh cottage in Pennal. Sleeping eight guests, and also welcoming a pair of happy hounds, the four-bedroom stone retreat nestles in the southern swathe of the national park. From here, take your group of family and friends out on long country walks or to the beach at picturesque Aberdyfi, 6.5 miles away, on Bae Ceredigion. Return to play games together by a roaring wood burner at the former farmhouse or to drink tea, eat Welsh cakes and lose yourselves in the views out in the sunshine in the pretty garden.
Step inside to find an abundance of character, including revealed timbers and flagstone floors. The farmhouse-style kitchen/diner has plenty of space and everything you need to help you rustle up hearty holiday meals with the ingredients you have shopped for. The adjacent utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer, plus room for bicycles. Dine together in the kitchen or dining room, then make your way through to the lounge to light the wood burner and watch the TV or a DVD together. You have a family bathroom downstairs, while a shower room can be found on the first floor, together with a twin bedroom, two doubles and a bunk room. Spill out in the pretty garden to bask in the Welsh sunshine, and light the chiminea or BBQ in the evening. Please supervise younger guests and pets are there are steep drops and steps, and a stream. You can also find parking for three cars.
Plan trips out to beauty spots including Dolgoch Falls, 10 miles away, and RSPB Ynis-hir, 10.5 miles from the cottage. Wildlife lovers may also wish to visit the Dyfi Osprey Project, 7.5 miles away.
