Detached barn conversion offering pleasant accommodation for couples and small groups just 3 miles from beautiful Aberdyfi with its beach, harbour and multiple restaurants.

Book a stay at this gorgeous former barn which nestles in beautiful, mature gardens, approximately 3 miles from the Welsh coastal village of Aberdyfi. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom, stone retreat enjoys views out towards the magnificent Dyfi Estuary from its sundeck. Its position within southern Snowdonia makes it a perfect holiday home for anyone keen to undertake long walks through dramatic scenery or to go mountain climbing or hill walking in the area, as well as to enjoy days out on the beach.

Take a few steps up and wander inside to find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with revealed beams and vaulted ceilings. Light the wood burner in here on chilly days, sit down to a movie on TV after your many excursions and decide what treats to cook up with the local produce you have bought if you are dining in. Find you have all the equipment you need, together with a dining table to sit down at. There is also a utility room, with washer/dryer for walking and beachwear, a separate WC and a shower room. Find a double bedroom at this level and a twin room, with small 2 foot 6” beds, up a staircase, on a mezzanine level. Please be aware one of these beds is close to the open stairs. Soak up the serenity in the cottage-style garden, with its pretty pond, and dine out here on occasion. Find you have parking for two cars.

Head out on wildlife watching walks from your base along the picturesque estuary. Visit the Dyfi Osprey Project, 10 miles away, and spend time at RSPB Ynys-hir, 13.5 miles away, to find out more about the birdlife of the area. Venture 11.5 miles to Corris to take the children to King Arthur’s Labyrinth and the Bards’ Quest and Corris Craft Centre.

Great little cottage with a pretty garden and good facilities. Would recommend for two adults wanting to explore the area. Management team were very quick to respond when we needed them and we really enjoyed our stay. Maps on the wall were very helpful! I really nice, spacious and light cottage. I had problems with the wi-fi, but the phone signal is good, so I was able to use that to access the internet.

Lovely property, catered for all our needs. Location is ideal, away from all the hustle and bustle of other tourists , but close enough to all amenities. A real reclusive get away. Other reviews noted it being close to the road with a train track opposite. We didnt find this any problem with traffic passing as this was not continuous, and as for thRead moree train it was a 2 carriage rattler that passed a few times a day, with the view across the estuary, this just added charm to the property. Lovely little cottage with everything you need. If you are taking a dog be aware that there are no pavements on the road that the cottage is on so walking the dog is a bit dangerous with the fast traffic Everything else was perfect and Aberdovey is beautiful

One of the cupboards in the kitchen requires adjustment to the hinges. The clock did not work. Neither were an issue for us. The garden pond needs some attention.

A lovely cottage in a great location. It is quite close to the road as others have mentioned, and the train tracks, but it always quietened down in the evenings. The log burner was lovely and we used it quite a bit as we couldn't get one of the heaters to work. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds lovely and comfortable. This a lovely property, well maintained and with views over the Dovey estuary. It catches the sun for most of the day. It is on a relatively busy road, but the traffic did not bother us

The cottage is five minutes away from Aberdovey. The barn conversion has been nicely done. Secure garden was great for the dog with nice views across the estuary. The cottage is comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen. There is road noise, but I did not find it a problem. Bed covers inadequate, this needs to be addressed.

Another wonderful stay back in Aberdovey. Can thoroughly recommend this property as it has all the comforts one can wish for and within easy reach of amazing beaches and countryside. As other residents have commented - it is near a main road and railway line but this did not spoil any part of our break as the noise is minimal and the perimeter is sRead moreecure enough to allow any dog or small child to wander safely. As we were aware of it the traffic noise was not a problem but it maybe in summer. Heating from the log burner was good in the main room . Maybe not a good property for a family or person with poor mobility. We had a pleasant 3 day stay & visited several places of interest. Can recommend the tour of the CAT at Machynlleth.
