After dinner, pour yourself a glass of wine and head outside to the small backyard to watch the stars come out, or make your way up to the lounge on the first floor to chill out in front of the wood burner-effect electric fire. When the day is done, you’ll find one stylish bedroom on the first floor and two more on the second floor.

Alternatively, enjoy a refreshing stroll along the beach all the way to the nearby town of Tywyn (4.5 miles), where you’ll find the St Cadfan’s Stone – a 9th century treasure that’s inscribed with the earliest writing in the Welsh language.

We have had a lovely week at Traeth Teg. Three generations from 20 months to 68 enjoyed the location and facilities. It is a great property. We did have difficulties drying clothes and the towels provided at the property are very small, if I returned I would take our own bath towels and hand towel and tea towels for kitchen.

By far the best property we've stayed in - both in Aberdovey and elsewhere. It was spotlessly clean, extremely well-equipped and in the perfect position. We found the Penhelig carpark slightly closer, and easier to get a space. The car park permit is a real bonus (11 per day otherwise). Pros: Fabulous views. Lovely little balcony. Firm beds. Superb location! Very clean and bright with fabulous views from the front of the house. I sat on the chairs in the bay window overlooking the harbour a lot and also the lounge upstairs was really gorgeous. The kitchen is also really high end and pictures dont do it justice. Will definitely consider going back very soon. Excellent!!
