Lose yourselves in undulating North Wales views when you stay at this enticing stone barn, 1.5 miles from Llandrillo. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom bolthole is set on a working farm, 5 miles from the fringes of Snowdonia National Park. Ideal for walking in the Berwyn Mountains, the property is also 9.5 miles from beautiful Bala Lake and 14 miles from picturesque Llangollen.
Enter the barn, leaving your walking boots and jackets in the boot room, to find yourselves in a light-filled, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Arranged over two levels, this is perfectly designed with space to prepare delicious meals with fresh, local produce from the farm and to sit down to eat together as you take in the valley views. Open the glass doors to the garden on warm, summer days. Take two steps down into the lounge to recline on the sofa in front of the Smart TV. Make your way up the stairs to the first floor to lay your head in either the double bedroom or the twin, each of which has an en-suite shower room. Spend as much time as possible outside in the fresh air, gazing out at your surroundings and firing up the BBQ to cook dinner on or the fire pit to sit around until late in the evening. A utility room and storage space for cycles can also be found outside. There is parking for two cars at the barn.
Visit Llangollen to browse its interesting shops and dine out in cafes and restaurants. You can also picnic by the river here and watch the waterfalls from the bridge. Head to Bala Lake to go canoeing, kayaking or windsurfing. Also take a 9-mile trip through the magnificent scenery of the Snowdonia National Park on the Bala Lake Railway.
