Surrounded by open countryside, this spacious family home in West Wales is the perfect place to rest and recharge. With a vast garden and delightful, open-plan living area, you’ll have ample room for socialising with friends and family. The compact city of St Davids is 1.5 miles away, and you’ll also have a fantastic choice of beaches to visit along this stunning stretch of coastline.

The property has a home-away-from-home feel, with comfortable soft furnishings and pretty accessories. The open-plan lounge/diner is a wonderfully sociable space for enjoying each other’s company, either for memorable mealtimes around the dining table or film nights in the glow of the wood burner-effect electric fire. The galley-style kitchen is a joy to cook in, with plenty of worktop space and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. There is also a king-size bedroom on the ground floor, along with a handy shower room. The two remaining bedrooms – a double and a twin – are upstairs and boast relaxing rural views. Completing the accommodation is the family bathroom. Outside, a vast lawn envelops the cottage, providing ample space for children and four-pawed guests to play. In the evenings, dine alfresco on the patio, as the sun sets over the fields.

Head into St Davids to explore Britain’s smallest city. Be sure to visit to magical 12th-century cathedral, before pottering around the cute boutiques and galleries. For something a bit different, why not attend one of the open-air performances in the Gothic ruin of Bishop’s Palace? You can also hop on a boat to go wildlife watching around the offshore islands. Your nearest beach is the rugged Caerfai Bay (2 miles), which is reached via steep steps, or the family favourite of Whitesands, with its fine white sand and turquoise waters, is 3 miles away.

A very comfortable, clean cottage with a good sized kitchen and plenty of outside space. Pleasant views from the upstairs rooms out across the moor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gwynfryn and would love to return one day.

We recently stayed at this cottage in St Davids for a long weekend and overall the location and cottage itself were absolutely beautiful. It was peaceful, relaxing, well-presented, and in a fantastic area we genuinely enjoyed the setting and had been having a lovely stay. However, there were a couple of things that unfortunately left us feeling qRead moreuite uncomfortable. The property was advertised as dog friendly, and we brought our two very small, well-behaved dogs (a toy poodle and a Coton de Tular), who stayed indoors with us throughout the stay. On our second day, we received a very abrupt message from the owner stating we had broken the policy of only allowing one dog and demanding an additional 25 payment immediately. We genuinely hadnt realised there was a one-dog limit when booking, so the tone of the message felt unnecessarily direct and accusatory, especially during what was meant to be a relaxing break. What made things more uncomfortable was realising the owner appeared to know about the second dog through exterior cameras around the property. While we understand security cameras can be necessary, it did leave us feeling as though we were being monitored during our stay, which impacted how comfortable and relaxed we felt afterwards. For a stay costing around 600 for the weekend especially when neighbouring cottages were advertised significantly cheaper we had expected a more welcoming and customer-friendly experience when handling something that could easily have been addressed more politely. Its a shame, because the cottage and location really are lovely, but the way this situation was handled unfortunately affected the overall experience for us Hide

The rug in the lounge was slippy, got it up to find sand underneath. Accident waiting to happen. Had to tighten screws in table as it was too wobbly to eat off. Had to buy Brillo pads to clean racks and tins in oven. No anti slip mats in bath or shower. Very slippy. En-suite to ground floor bedroom very small. Caravans have larger sinks!

A lovely cottage in a great location within walking distance of St Davids. We had a great week exploring the area and walking the coastal path.

A gorgeous cottage in a beautiful location. If you want to sip your tea in a meadow garden at the end of an energetic day after jumping waves in one of those wonderous Welsh beaches nearby and see the swallows dance at sunset... this is the place for you!

Beautiful house well furnished but not cluttered. The views are stunning, very quiet with only bird song which we loved. It would have been useful to have a washing basket to care washing in and out of the house.
