Bursting with character and perfectly situated to make the most of the Welsh coast with Rhossili Bay less than 100m away, this cottage is a great escape for families on the tip of the Gower Peninsula. Often regarded as one the best beaches in the UK due to its awe-inspiring scenery, including the iconic Worm’s Head, and its fantastic surf, the Bay provides endless adventures both on land and on the water.
Offering a warm welcome, the open-plan living room/kitchen diner has a cosy feel with exposed beams lining the ceiling and hues of yellow and orange throughout. Curl up and relax by the sliding doors to soak up the summer sun, or switch on the electric log effect fire to make the most of the cold winter evenings on the leather sofa and armchair with the TV on. At the back of the room is a charming kitchen which has all you could need to cook up a storm to be served up on the dining table seating four. The white-tiled shower room is located just off the kitchen so that you can rinse off the sand from a day at the beach with ease before heading through to cook a meal or kick back and read a good book. Both of the bedrooms are furnished with comfortable double beds and have windows offering far-reaching views over the sea with the sounds of the crashing waves in the distance helping you to get a restful night’s sleep. Step outside and marvel at the views across the clifftop whilst dining al fresco on the patio, or letting the children burn off steam in the enclosed garden.
While away your days on the 3-mile stretch of sand which welcomes all the family, including dogs, or take the footpath on a 4.5-mile trek to Worms Head during low tide for beautiful scenery along the way. Dip your toes into the sand at a number of the other beautiful beaches in the area on a day trip with Oxwich Bay (7.5 miles and Three Cliffs Bay (9 miles) both fantastic places to visit, with an array of independent pubs and cafes to stop off at for a bite to eat.
