Get ready for an outdoor adventure during a stay at this pretty cottage which is full of homely touches inside and gorgeous greenery out in the garden. Hidden in the Ceiriog Valley, you’ll have the opportunity to try your hand at a number of activities: getting your adrenaline pumping on a mountain biking trail, feeling the water across your face whilst white water rafting or opting for a more peaceful walking path towards the town of Llangollen.

Entering through the beautiful garden, the stable door opens up into a charming living room which has been thoughtfully decorated to create a cosy and relaxing space. Snuggle up on the sofa or cuddle a chair between the plants and listen to the crackle of the fire in the background as you read a good book or watch a film on the TV for a peaceful evening. When it’s time for tea, the quirky kitchen is equipped with all you could need to cook up a feast, with colourful tiles along the walls and pops of green adding character to the space. Sit up at the table of four to dine together and enjoy the garden views out of the window. Conveniently located on the ground floor is also a shower room with a WC where you can jump in and refresh after a long day out exploring. At bedtime, head upstairs and take your pick between the two king-size bedrooms, one with a fabulous feature fireplace and the other boasting views of the garden. Completing the property is the upstairs bathroom where you can spend an evening enjoying peace and quiet from the tub in the spa-like space. Outside, the landscaped garden is filled with an eclectic array of plants as well as a summer house, table, chairs and BBQ to ensure you can make the most of the warm weather.

Take the 3-mile journey to the town of Llangollen for a delightful day out by the calm waters of the River Dee. Steeped in myth and legend, this is a fascinating place to visit to learn of local folklore, indulge in fine foods and soak up the magnificent scenery on the nearby walking trails. Bala (22 miles) is your doorway to Snowdonia National Park and home to the largest natural lake in Wales, a majestic body of water where you can stop off for a picnic to watch the wildlife play in and around the water for a tranquil day out.

Our stay at this beautiful cottage was everything and more. From the moment we arrived, after driving through stunning scenery, we wanted for nothing. We enjoyed the cottage this past week, its a lovely village in a stunning area, easy access to Llangollen and attractions. The Glyn Valley Hotel a good place to eat - we certainly boosted the local economy there !!!!

Lovely cottage in peaceful surroundings. Beautiful gardens and outside spaces. Very comfortable beds and well equipped for a weeks stay. No phone signal unless you are on EE. Very good WiFi though.

We had a fantastic week at Courtyard Cottage. David and Jonathan have equipped and decorated it beautifully, with so many thoughtful touches. The garden is stunning and the summer house is a really cosy and beautiful place to sit. The location is great. It is in a small and beautiful village with nice walks and a pub which we tried out for dinner -Read more good quality, traditional food. Llangollen is in easy reach, as are the beautiful sights of North Wales. Highly recommend. Hide

Courtyard Cottage is a lovely tranquil and cosy place to stay; quiet and peaceful with many interesting things to explore locally. The cottage, garden and heated summer house reflect the owners' caring and thoughtful attitude towards guests. All the people I met in Glyn Ceiriog were friendly and helpful. I lovely holiday to remember and return to!

Lovely stay in your cottage, everything was just what we wanted from our little break, People around were very friendly even the local cat came to visit each day. Facilities were good and beds were very comfortable. The garden was amazing. Thank you for having us to stay, would recommend to anyone.
