Take the 3-mile journey to the town of Llangollen for a delightful day out by the calm waters of the River Dee. Steeped in myth and legend, this is a fascinating place to visit to learn of local folklore, indulge in fine foods and soak up the magnificent scenery on the nearby walking trails. Bala (22 miles) is your doorway to Snowdonia National Park and home to the largest natural lake in Wales, a majestic body of water where you can stop off for a picnic to watch the wildlife play in and around the water for a tranquil day out.
