An idyllic romantic retreat for two with creature comforts and an enclosed garden, this characterful set of cabins is perfect for a relaxing holiday exploring the area, and your dog is welcome too. All set in an ancient woodland in the pretty village of Llanrhaeadr, a conservation village, with a 400-year-old pub and ancient pottery, and a church dating back to 1200, with a famous Jesse window. In the village is an ancient woodland fed by a stream that pours through a Roman bath, where cold water swimming is permitted, along with lots of walking and cycling routes. Set in the Vale of Clwyd with so much nearby to see and do within 10 miles: Visit historic Denbigh, Ruthin Gaol, the local craft centre, and Mold’s street market, all offering independent shops and eateries to encounter. Abergele Beach is a little further (12 miles). What more could you wish for?

As you enter the enclosed garden you have two cabins, one offering a cosy studio with a comfortable sofa, Smart TV, and double bed, along with a selection of local books to peruse. Across from here is the other, a kitchen/diner stylishly furnished with all you need to rustle up a meal, when ready, the dining table is the perfect setting by the doors opening onto the deck with stunning views to embrace. Round from here are two smaller cabins, one with an electric shower and the other with a quality eco WC with water to flush. Each cabin has been creatively designed with your comfort in mind and to maximise the enjoyment of the pretty garden surrounded by trees and shrubs, and an abundance of wildlife to spot with birdsong in the background.

The gorgeous garden with established planting, gravel paths, decking and superb countryside views is on the edge of the owner’s smallholding. The decking is perfect for alfresco dining with a chiminea, charcoal BBQ, and a table and chairs. There is also the bistro table and chairs for morning coffee by the studio. From the garden, take a walk along the pathway into the woodlands and visit the Roman Bath with healing waters.
