Swim in the sea in the summer and bask beside the wood burner in the winter when you stay at this enticing cottage in Aberdyfi. Sleeping three guests, the two-bedroom hideaway makes a great base for anyone wishing to explore the southern swathes of North Wales. Just 150 metres from the sandy beach, it is also set within the Snowdonia National Path, with its many walks and activities for those who enjoy the great outdoors.
Step into the holiday hideaway to find yourselves in a welcoming, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With a bright, summery feel, this is where you can unwind together on the soft seating after your exciting excursions, perhaps in front of your favourite programme on the Smart TV. Light the wood burner in here when it’s chilly and take turns at preparing the delicious, fresh, Welsh produce you have bought in Aberdyfi over in the well-equipped kitchen area. Dine together at the table inside or out in the courtyard when the weather is warm enough. When you are ready for bed, make your way up to the first floor, where the double bedroom and the single are situated. There is also a family shower room up here. Access the courtyard garden via the single bedroom. This is the perfect place for a glass of chilled white wine on summer evenings.
Wander round the independent shops in Aberdyfi and find places to dine out. Spend time on the beach or indulge in canoeing or paddle-boarding on the Dyfi Estuary. Follow the Wales Coast Path for 4 miles to Tywyn, where you can hire bikes and strike out into magnificent Snowdonia along various routes and trails. Have a day out in Machynlleth, 10.5 miles away, to browse in the boutiques and galleries and visit the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Wales.
