This delightful farmhouse has been lovingly refurbished for 2023 and provides guests with an incredible rural retreat in a picturesque setting within the Shropshire Hills with the option to hire a hot tub to make your stay so much more enjoyable. The quaint village of Kempton lies on the River Kemp and embodies the quintessential English countryside experience. For keen hikers, the Offas Dyke Path is easily accessible in nearby Knighton (12 miles) and mixes beautiful scenery with historic hill forts. Cyclists can ride at Hopton Woods and The Long Mynd. Just 2.2 miles away is the impressive Walcot Hall, once home to Clive of India. Today it operates as a wedding venue and hosts many events accessible to the public throughout the year. Be sure to visit Ludlow (12 miles), famous for its imposing 11th century castle. Enjoy the striking architecture whilst visiting one of the town's many independent shops, pubs and restaurants. The eclectic Bishops Castle is 5.2 miles away with an array of interesting boutiques and traditional pubs.

Make your way down the private driveway to your idyllic rural retreat with beautiful mature gardens. Head into the Grade II listed farmhouse and enter the porch area, ideal to remove muddy boots and jackets after a walk enjoying the surrounding countryside. Continue through into the fully equipped farmhouse style kitchen with everything you need for a self-catered break in the Shropshire Hills. Enjoy your morning coffee on the breakfast table taking in the views whilst planning the day's activities. Next is the spacious dining room with ample seating for your whole group, along with a stunning log burner and additional seating to relax after your meal or simply watch TV. The beautiful and spacious lounge is just off the dining room with plenty of space for your whole group to relax and spend quality time together. The large corner sofa will easily seat everybody, perfect to enjoy a movie or some live sport together. There is a second log burner, creating a truly magical experience, especially in those cooler months. Next to the lounge is the front porchway which is cleverly being utilised as a workspace, great for anyone that needs to keep an eye on emails and do some work from home. Upstairs is split into two separate areas and is accessed by different staircases, which is useful for groups of friends and multi-generational families. The first staircase leads up from the dining room and takes you up to three bedrooms, one king-size and two doubles. The king-size room has an en-suite shower room and there is a further family bathroom. All the bedrooms enjoy stunning views across the beautifully manicured gardens that wrap around the house. The second staircase leads up from the lounge and leads to a further two bedrooms, one king-size and one twin, along with the shower room. Enjoy the traditional features throughout this beautiful house with quaint beams and exposed brickwork giving you a truly unique stay.

On arrival to this property, the first thing that you will notice is how much space there is to explore. The beautifully landscaped gardens wrap round the house and provide multiple areas for you to relax in a serene and picturesque setting. The outhouse provides ample room to store bikes. To the front of the house is a large outdoor table and chairs to allow your group to dine alfresco in the sunshine. For more casual seating in the evening, a log burner provides a focal point. The spacious grounds are fully enclosed, so perfect for children and dogs to roam freely, making use of all the space you will have. Enjoy some garden games on the lawn, cook up a storm on the BBQ or simply sit and enjoy a good book in stunning surroundings.

Beautiful house to stay in for a family birthday. We stayed for a week and there were between 2-9 people staying over the week. Big house but as it was cosy it did not feel massive when it was just 2 of us staying. We would move in tomorrow. Views stunning. We hired a hot tub for the week which we all enjoyed and if we came back (fingers crossed) wRead moree would do this again. Thank you Hide

Lovely house in a lovely location. If you want to get away from it all for a few days, this is the place. Well equipped and very comfortable. The owners were very helpful with any questions we had prior to our stay. We would happily return.
